1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Starting a Craft Night? on: October 23, 2007 12:30:18 PM
I'm thinking about starting a craft night one night a week at my work, a local vegetarian restaurant in NYC, and i am looking for some suggestions or advice or even some examples of other nights in other cities (or this one.)
If you went to a craft night would you prefer a free for all or a guided craft event with a host?
Should i start with one & work towards the other?
There would be drink specials & we have a good bit of room.
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! on: September 17, 2006 11:28:15 AM
Thanks, i like it too! i can look very 20's with it, which works for me. It's pretty crooked, however! Smiley Thankfully i have curly hair that hides that fact...
3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Frozen Veggies: Your ideas needed!!! on: September 17, 2006 11:20:06 AM
Wow, these are some great ideas! i will have to bookmark this thread...
So i work some long days in an office, & to save money i bring my own food often. One thing i like to make that is so simple but yummy is two corn tortillas layered with black beans (i've been using canned, they take less time) & i top it all off with frozen broccoli or spinach (the spinach is so damn good!) & salsa with some braggs or salt. It's fast, cheap, & healthy! Another easy one was just some quinoi (sp? Or use rice or cous cous or another grain, heck even some pasta & sauce) add some frozen veggies, & voila! Another healthy, quick meal i didn't slave over, & heathier than frozen lasagne! But these are just some quick lunch ideas... That curried squash suggestion, darn you! i am almost drooling thinking of it!

Great hair here. Unfortunatly i have curly boring hair, so i cant get some of the great styles you girls have. i am currently growing my black dye out to see what color my real hair is, & perhaps to turn it blonde or just some part of it. THe problem with doing anything with my hair is that i run the risk of looking like a poodle... Anyways, the last craft night i touched up my bangs & a friend gave me the best haircut i have had since i moved here (austin, texas, it's not a good hair experience for me so far!)
Here is me now,
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My beau makes pretty faces on: September 09, 2006 12:31:00 PM
Here's the first painting i've painted in years. It's a bad photo because all i have is my camera phone. But it's a start.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: My best book purse so far (only done 2!) on: July 30, 2006 12:11:37 AM
You're creation is so amazing! It brings me back to the eighties & the magazine purses, but who thought we could make them! So i tried to follow that link, but i didn't see a tutorial! Can you give me any more hints, links or whatever? i am learning crafty, but i am way a beginner, so i am not winging it so much, yet.
