21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / printed top on: July 14, 2007 08:37:44 PM
Well this top was created from an original idea I had inmind that i modified as I went along. It actually overlaps on the front(kind of kimono style) but the pattern is so busy it's hard to tell in the picture. The sleeves are cap sleeves that are nice and flowy. I made it from scratch top to bottom, with the grey being jersey knit and the floral being vintage fabric picked up from a garage sale. Total cost $2.50 yippee! Golly i hate taking self pictures. :S

22  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Is there a list of swap flakers? on: July 14, 2007 02:33:53 PM
I don't know where to put this topic but I'll try it here. Just wanted to know is there list of flakers and even a list for personal swap flakers in particular? I'm asking b/c I'd want to add a name onto that list. Yes I realize participating in personal swaps is at my own risk and Mods can't necessarily prove if i didn't recieve a package or not but I feel when a flaker is boldly advertising in their sig that they want to do personal swaps and is a flaker then the rest of Craftster should be warned, no? :S
23  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Retro Orange messenger bag on: July 14, 2007 11:31:38 AM
I finished this bag for my shop yesterday and it still needs a good ironing but I had to take pic out of excitment. It has official vintage orange floral fabric on the inside aswell as a matching applique on the outside. The outside is an off-white denim/corduory type feeling fabric. Comments?

24  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Leftover Supplies and Crafts ongoing Swap? on: May 26, 2007 09:30:38 PM
Okay I know there's similar de-stashing ongoing swaps like "the Ongoing Offer what you have swap" or the "Shop the Sweat shop" but this kinda combines both. People will make a list that's composed of atleast 5 items: crafted finish or unfished items, craft supplies, fabrics or whatever findings that can be used for crafts. What makes this swap different from the previous two is you don't have to wait to claim from the last list posted (like with "Offer what you have swap") and your items don't have to be just craft items (like with the STS). So basically it's the exact same process as the STS(you start out with 3 claims, once your shop hits 7 claims your closed) except you can include craft supplies too, not just crafted items and the first person to claim(via pm) gets the item. You choose what your items equal in terms of a claim(like choose 3 for 1 claim, 1 claim each, etc..) but nothing priced higher then 1 claim per item each just make it easy. This will be a great way to recieve and get rid of craft supplies and crafted items(that don't have to be made by you either!). Almost like browsing through a bunch of classified ads with items for free, woo hoo!

Anybody else want to destash their craft stuff and give it to a more appreciating home? I sure have a box full I could get rid off!
25  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Who says creatures can't be cute? on: March 05, 2007 08:31:10 PM
I just whipped up these two cuties. One is an Owl on white and brown beads, the other a snail on blue and irridescent faux pearls.

26  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Every rodent needs a pimped out bed ;) on: February 14, 2007 09:54:31 PM
These are more designed for smaller rodents like rats, hamster, gerbiles, mice, etc but I plan to design larger ones for ferrets, guinea pigs, sugar sliders etc. They are reversible, so when it comes to the winter you can turn the fleece inward, for summer the cotton or the silk inward. Comments welcome!  Wink
27  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Owlette branch scarf on: February 03, 2007 06:45:37 PM
I just made this Owlette his/her winter scarf. I appliqued it on to dark brown fleece with surounding branches and voila, a baby owl scarf.

28  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Anybody creating the february bday swap? on: January 31, 2007 08:04:23 PM

29  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / My first earrings, wooot! on: January 31, 2007 02:26:57 PM
My first attempt at earrings. The longest hang down at 2inches, so they're all pretty modest in terms of length. Opinions or critisim?

30  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Who doesn't like Mario Bros??? on: January 28, 2007 02:32:14 PM
Well It's my husbands bday on monday so i figure why not make him mario bro themed cushions for his guy room! Everything is done from scratch. I appliqued buttons for eyes, hand embroidered his mouth and the rest is felt and the whole face is hand stitched on for the goomba cushion. The mushroom is all fleece with felt black eyes, but i obviously stitched the head on way off to the side so it's messed up. I'm gonna give him the mushroom today since i'd be too embarassed if he opened it infront of everyone tomorrow. Comments appreciated!
