1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Nintendo Controler Clutch on: April 11, 2008 07:13:55 AM
The last clutch I knitted was floppy and I just lined it with a contrasting fabric and used the fine gauge plastic canvas to just line the top edge opening (probably an inch wide strip on each side) so it wasn't all stiff, but still had some form. It worked out well.
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: conversation heart picture frames something for everyone on: February 12, 2008 10:03:18 AM
I adore this! If I had any experience with resin whatsoever, I would attempt this.

Great job!

I had never worked with resin before this project. I had some difficulties with the first batch, but it really is pretty easy to understand if you follow the directions.

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / conversation heart picture frames something for everyone on: February 06, 2008 04:36:06 AM
I had this idea this weekend. They are just simple wooden picture frames that I painted and glued conversation hearts down then covered them with resin. They turned out really cute.

I also made one that has my own messages added in for fun. Why not tell a loved one that you love them but that you also want them to die? If you really hated Valentine's Day you could make one completely out of subversive messages.

I also just made some with beads and glitter that turned out really cute as well.

I posted a tutorial on my blog if anyone wants to make some of these. They were a lot of fun and I really think my friends will like the finished products.

7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Avenue Q T-shirt! on: August 31, 2007 01:51:43 PM
I made this for my friend's birthday. He loved it and I'm pretty sure its my favorite stencil so far. He's an English major I knew which song title to use. Even though I really wanted to put some of the more funny ones on there. I had to resist temptation. Grin

Laine- Pick up a hook and make some, they are sooo easy and I'm a mediocre crocheter at best.
