1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Ska Bag! on: October 02, 2006 01:05:23 PM
So after clening my room last night i found a plain totebag i bought awhile ago for who knows what. Out of boredum i decided to *attempt* to stencil something on it. I found a great "Proud To Be A Ska Kid" stencil by colorfigment. [[link at bottom]] I then noticed i had to frezer paper so i just kinda cut out and traced the skanker and sharpied the words out by hand. It turned out really cute, but i decided to give it to one of the biggest ska kids i know for her birthday. hope you like it!

sorry about the not-so-great photos. I'm giving it to her tonight so i wanted to post before i gave it away.

^look in post for link to stencil
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / sea glass on: September 27, 2006 12:12:13 PM
I looked around and didn't see anything posted about it so i posted. Im a little FL nerd that had never seen sea glass and when i went to Maine this summer i freaked out and collected tons of it. so now i have it in a few bowls but i wanna actually do something with it. I've already picked out the best 3 pieces to have my friend wirewrap as pendants for my fam for xmas. I can't think of much else to do with it but kinda do mosiacs and jewelry. theres alot of green [dark and light], clear, brown, and some blue and pink. any ideas?  Smiley
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / ducttape+film negatives=1 minute bracelet on: September 15, 2006 07:38:00 PM
This is one of those "i need something to match my outfit when I'm walking out the door" projects. It's just 2 film negatives overlapping with duct tape around the edge to make a "wrist cuff" type thing. i put a piece of duct tape over the big overlap to make sure it stays shut. if you want you can cut the negatives in half so they dont overlap and you can actually see the pictures when light shines through =]

sorry about the kinda-bad picture =/ but i hope you liked it. it was just an off the top of my head thing when i had no red accessories =P <333
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / my spiffy backpack [[pic heavyish]] on: September 15, 2006 07:31:42 PM
I wanted a new backpack this year but my mother wasn't offering to buy one so i had to spiff my old plain navy jansport up. Pretty much the only permanent thing is that i splatterpainted it. I exchange the stuff on it frequently =] i have a bunch of different polkadot dino patches i painted and i have different buttons/pins and little stuffed felt pins i can put on. i keep adding random stuff to the to keychain whenever i find something cool to put on. here's some pix: the fabric is just plain although it may look weird and textured in these

[[and yes, i sport victorias secret with pride =P]]

hope you enjoyed <333
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / charmish necklace with random charms on: September 15, 2006 07:22:13 PM
[[i really didn't knowwhere to put this, half of its "reconstructed" and half of its not]]

i get compliments on this alot so people told me i should post it on "that one site our always looking at" =P It's just a chain with a couple random charms but people always want to look at it:

The first is a little origami paper star on a safety pin. The second is a ring i used to were but i like wearing rings on necklaces more than my fingers. There's a little fairy off an old earring and a little "love" ring from american eagle. Then i have an "M" charm for my first initial and the revovler from clue that i painted pink =] I have a guitar off an old earring and a little heart carved out of cork, put on a saftey pin, and colored in sharpie. I hope you liked and it was in the right place. <333
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cherry Blossom Polo on: September 15, 2006 07:14:44 PM
I'm not one for polo's but not one for throwing things out so i just painted a little cherry blossom-ish thing on this old polo i had and now Voila! i really like it =] i started with a little stencil but then just went freehand about after the first branch.

im really not very good at taking pictures =P
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 3 pairs of pretty-painted-pants in a row [[pic heavy?]] on: September 15, 2006 07:09:08 PM
My favorite passtime=painting pants. i guess I'm not American. well, sorry about the crappy photography skills =/ [[its my first post so sorry about anything wrong]]
the front

and the behind

Just some old Levi's that got to small so i cut em' off and splatterpainted =] the paints a little worn because i made them awhile ago.

I made these awhile ago and they were to big to start with. I can't seem to part with them though because they were my first pair of splatterpaints =P

[[there's nothing on the back]]
There's actually a little story behind these. I loved the whole robot line at Hot Topic and wanted to buy the patches and sew them on some pants. But I'm the biggest tightwad you'll ever meet so i decided that'd I'd just print out a picture of them and paint it on. I've retired these from wearing but still won't part with them either tehehehehe my closet is full of useless stuff.

I hope you liked them! comments are appreciated =]
