I can't believe I never posted this here!

This is a free on-line magazine I found awhile back for GF foods - lots of articles and recipe options:

LOL - yeah - I can't resist a dog pic either Smiley

I have a bunch of Jim's old flannels around somewhere too, so they would make good pillow stuffing.  Ginger, our last dog, and Troy's big sister for a few years, would have loved these - she was Daddy's little princess and loved anything that smelled of us - but especially him Smiley  I almost never threw out old pillows because she would love to lie on them Smiley

I made a few of these for the various dogs of our association from Jim's old jeans... unfortunately, Troy, our own furbaby, is not a toy-playing type of dog, but he does appreciate something soft that smells like one of us to lay his head on, so I may make a big pillow version of this at some point for him.  Otherwise, the denim-blue does look good against his fur Smiley

I added a couple of squeakers at each end for the fun of those canines that love to play with squeaky things (yeah, Troy is weird that way too - unless it's yummy, or an actual living furry, he really could not care less about toys, balls, sticks, etc).

More on the blog - pics and quick instructions.  Jim is happy that I am finally making something from the pile of jeans I saved.
16  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Abandoned Art Swap Rd 2 (SU 7/26-8/9 SO 9/5) on: September 15, 2017 06:28:25 AM
I abandoned the other day and wanted to share some pics of street art I found while abandoning.

First... I found this little happy face at one of the street crossing corners.  It looks like it had been there for a bit, but I liked how the leaf makes it look like it is sticking it's tongue out at you - I wonder if someone placed it that way.

Also, that street artist that painted the thank you nurses sign outside of our hospital was back at some point.  I noticed the sparkle was back on "nurses" - he added a gold glitter wash and it was especially shiny, and sparkly in the sun.

But across the street, between another hospital and the kid's hospital are these:

I am kind of in love with the unicorns, especially the first one - and they are quite sparkly too IRL

thank you - I hope others do try this - the texture paste recipe is one of my favourites!

I would so love to find something like that when trudging on the way to work or something - that would put such a smile on my face.

I abandoned some pieces on my way to work yesterday - it was early in the morning, so the lighting is not great.

I abandoned this piece at one of the subway stations, on the telephone.  I chose this station because it is commonly used by students/school groups and is highly decorated as it is outside of one of the big museums.

Some pics here of the station and the sculpted support columns.

This one was left at a fence by a bike rack and walkway at my old university, which is also by the parliament and another subway station.  It stands out nicely on the black metalwork.

This one was hung on a sign at another hospital near mine.  They have lovely garden patches along the front, by the sidewalks.  This one is directly in front of the main building for their cardiac center - so I felt the large heart piece fit there.

At the children's hospital, there is a little sunken parkette and play area, with benches, hidden amongst some trees.  It is a nice, quiet oasis.  I hung this piece just behind and above one of the benches - a child can reach it, and it will definitely be seen by anyone wanting to sit on the bench - also, it is nice and bright amongst the shadow of the branches.

Finally, this piece was also placed on a bench.  There are large islands between North and Southbound traffic on this street - there is a lot of traffic, and these islands  have huge planters with trees, lovely landscaping, and lots of walkway space and benches.  It is amazingly peaceful - I used to go there and just sit and read in the shade - the sound of traffic just becomes white noise.  I left this on one of the benches for someone else enjoying some hidden peace to find.

I also found some other fun street art too and will post those in the original discussion post - so pretty!
