Oh thanks! I've got a few DW needle works in the making. They're so fun to do :-)

That's very cute and geeky. My fave!

Thanks! I really enjoyed making it...so much so that I have to make a second for my other BFF!

A silvery frame would look good I think but I'm not very sure on how to frame cross stitches short of sending it away and getting it done professionally!
I suppose I'll just have to do some research  Cheesy

Evening everyone,
This is my first piece that I've posted on here and I'm so excited/nervous to show people! It's a Wee Little Stitches pattern which I've taken some liberties with.

David was my first Doctor. He is wonderful, yes?

It's for a friend but I'm a little unsure of how I'm going to present it...maybe on a padded board?

Anyways, I'd love your thoughts, critiques, etc Smiley

I love it! So simple and beautiful. I'm making something similar and I know exactly what you mean by the random placement thing. It takes a lot of effort for something to look random hey?!
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: blackwork whale tail on: January 13, 2013 04:06:31 PM
Woah. That's amazeballs. You're right though...black work is such a time suck but, man, the results are worth it!
It's really beautiful.

That's beautiful! I love all things jelly fish and squid Smiley I think they embroider really well. Love the glow in the dark thread too!

I'm a huge fan of anything DW. I love the combination of traditional and modern and totally dig how you designed and drew it yourself. So awesome. Have you got more in the pipeline?

I really love this style of free stitching. Your colour choices are perfect. You should be super proud of it
