Just some tea lights.  The back is actually open. Smiley
22  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Our first gingerbread house on: December 23, 2007 09:06:45 AM
Every year my boyfriend and I make cookies for Christmas, but this year we decided to make a gingerbread house from scratch.  It took a LOT longer than we thought, but we're really pleased with the results!  We went looking on Craftster for inspiration, so thanks to all others on the site who posted their gingerbread houses.

He designed the shape of the house and we both baked, assembled, and decorated.

Thanks for looking!

Be careful buying Aquadots...
Apparently they are extremely dangerous if ingested!

For those of you who want to use vinegar and water or some other cleaner, you can modify an empty Swiffer bottle so that you can re-use it.
I used vinegar, water, and a bit of lavender essential oil.
I was inspired by this Instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/Hack-your-Swiffer-Sweeper.-Weep-Swiffer-CEO-%2c-Weep/
but instead of burning a hole in the bottle as the instructions say,
I took the advice of one of the commenters and simply cut off the edge of the cap that keeps the cap from unscrewing.  (the picture is from the comment on that page)

Muria: Thanks!  Smiley

Chezlin:  I too am curious about the taste of marshmallow fondant.  Does it call for marshmallows or marshmallow creme or neither?

I love the hat!  The flowers really add to it.

Here's the cake I made for my mom's birthday in July.  It's the first cake I made outside of Wilton Course I, which I took this summer.  Lots of fun!
