Ha, here, that would fit right in with the mindset.  If it's dorky, well, most of us here are...

Wow!  So professional looking!

I adore the jacket you made for yourself and those portrait pocket pants.

And now I'll never be scared to make skirts, dresses, or sew curves, because I definitely have those things DOWN after making this.

I'll bet you've got it down!  I am always amazed at people who can sew beautiful, well-fitting clothing, especially something that seems so hard like a formal dress!

Lovely results!

That fabric had already chosen itself for these pjs.  I just had to walk by it at the store. Smiley

I made these pajama pants over semester break and never got around to posting them.  I used a basic pattern, Simplicity 5923, view C.  The fabric I used was a flannel-backed silky print from Joann.

I had to post them because they're the first article of clothing I've sewn from a pattern without my mom's help.  (She helped me make a vest years ago in middle school  Wink  )

I love the flower on the hat!!
How did you do the hat itself?  Did you use a pattern or make one up?

Ive been following this thread forever... and today I stumbled on something that really caught my eye.

In India, theres this NGO that uses fabric donated by urban women to make cloth pads for rural women who are so poor they usually have to share their rags with other family members....

Maybe this is something all of us crafters can do. Think that there are women out there who dont have the means to even get a piece of rag to use on those days... and try to find them and as women, unite to their need.

If anyone finds any kind of organization who does this, please post so we can all help out together.  That would be great to make a difference...it really puts things into perspective.
