Yeah!  I love both of those!  They almost make me want to go back to school, just to tote my books around in style.  Well, Almost.  Smiley

Seriously, they are fabulous!
4745  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Easter Clearance Straw Purse turned into Kitchy Domino Beaded Purse! on: July 19, 2006 07:41:20 PM
Okay, I found this cute little straw purse (natural straw with dark teal straw) at Jo-Anns in the Easter clearance for 90% off.  It was fabric lined (with even a tiny pocket) in teal already, so for $1, I had to buy it to save and 'recycle' it.....the only problem was the Easter Egg woven onto the side of it.

I took some domino beads, let my daughter pick out some other buttons and beads, and hand sewed them on.  Voila!  A cute little purse that can be carried all season!  I made her a domino necklace to match too.

The only problem is, I want to take the purse for myself!  My 3-year old is not in agreeance, of course!

See, she digs it too!

This is my first post, I totally just discovered Craftster and am in awe of all you guys!  Where have you been all my life?  In my circle of girlfriends, I am known as the crafty one, so I am honored to have a new gang to rattle around ideas with!

What do you think of the purse?

4746  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: My Sculptures and Photography...Please crit! (Pic Heavy) on: July 19, 2006 06:52:47 PM
I like the sheep pic the best...that technique is really cool.

I can see that the gorilla hand would come in handy for some good jokes or to plant around the house in fun places (coming out of the shower or closet).

Keep crafting!  You're on a roll!
