1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My first humanoid on: September 10, 2007 02:26:28 PM
I finally did it. I made a "girl". It's my own pattern, though I borrowed the hair and eye ideas from ElizabethD's Amigurumi book. She's 9 inches tall and I plan to make her clothes. Wink More info at my blog.

Yay! What a relief.  Grin

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / No, they're not sheep... on: November 27, 2006 03:34:43 PM

Ok well, I made these awhile ago actually... I feel I dunno like I'm cheating or something haha! So I'm submitting them for the contest sure but really I just want to share. They're a pair of fluffy white pups made from some baby boucle I had laying around. I also made their clothes from scraps. Really I intended them to be dogs (with spots around an eye each) but after I was done everyone kept saying they looked like sheep! ha I admit, they do... look like sheep that is. Anyway, hope you like!  Grin

(I included an url to flickr incase the photobucket thing doesn't work... it always goes wonky on me)

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Clip on earring "posts" for children... where can I find them?!?! on: October 11, 2006 03:53:25 PM
I can't seem to find info on this anywhere, but maybe I'm not using the right terminology. I'm looking for those clip-on/screw on type earring posts like they used in children's dress up jewelry. I remember seeing them around a lot when I was young... late 70's early 80's... I'm looking for just the posts so I can make my daughter some earrings. Does anyone know where I can purchase these???  Huh You can see a photo of what I'm talking about HERE http://www.flickr.com/photos/amigurumigirl/267311094/ at my flickr. Thanks!
6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Help... how do I make a Yoshi costume??? on: October 10, 2006 01:23:02 PM
Hello fellow crafters... my 4-year-old daughter has her heart set on being Yoshi for Halloween, but I just don't even know where to start! I'm not that accomplished at sewing but I can give easy ideas a try. An suggestions? Or places to go for ideas???  Huh

7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Amigurumi Bag - Roadkill Kitty AKA RK on: July 28, 2006 09:14:48 PM
Ok... I did this awhile ago actually.... but a friend has been bugging me to post something on crafsters. We have so much fun perusing and leeching all the topics here that I finally felt compelled to give something back to the community.

This is a little handbag I made with no pattern. I was inspired by a photo I saw of a bunny bag and went from there.

Here is the inspiration:

Here is the bag resulting from said inspiration:

You can get more info and see more pics (with link to more pics) at http://amigurumigirl.blogspot.com/2006/03/kitty-handbag-here-at-last.html. Hope you like.  Grin
