1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Zombie Themed Stencils on: November 03, 2009 01:07:05 PM
October 22nd was my stepsons 15th birthday. Seems how lately he's obsessed with zombies we decided to throw him a zombie themed birthday party complete with zombie cake, brain ice cream, and we went to watch zombieland afterward. Which is an awesome & hilarious movie I might add. lol.
Anyway here's his present-

Comments are loved!  Wink
2  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Halloween Dinner Party- IMG OBESE! Not for the sensitive of stomache.. on: November 03, 2009 12:57:47 PM
Not sure if I should post this in food or here but here makes the most sense to me...

So this is the third year we've done our gory themed dinner party and I just wanted to share some pics.
I'm super proud how everything turned out and since I've gotten so many ideas on here maybe these will help someone else looking for ideas next year.  Grin

Everything was made by me & my hubby except the mice pie and the litter cake. Awesome and amazing friends brought those!

The fun part is, these things only look worse as everyone starts eating them...lol.

I'd love to hear what you all think!
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Had to do Max costume this year! :P on: November 03, 2009 12:28:19 PM
Yep, I know there are lots of Max costumes this year but I still had to add mine anyway.  Grin Being the big book nerd/lover that I am I went with the classic look rather than the movie look. I'm actually really proud of how it all came out, I sat sewing and scrutinizing the book for a week to get this all right! lol. Plus, my little man looks sooo stinkin cute and loved it so it was totally worth it!  Cheesy

Here's a good shot of the tail although it's a little dark. This was a bit of a pain to trick or treat with but I was maybe a little OBSESSED with getting it as much like the book as possible..lol.

King of The Wild Things

I just wish I had better pictures but I hope these are enjoyed none the less!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Anyone care to share an opinion on the Dritz My Double Deluxe Dressform? on: July 07, 2009 10:27:29 PM
Pretty Please. I'm spending way too many hours looking up dressform reviews (which their are hardly any to be found it seems) and now I'm looking at this one which SewVac.com has for 149.99 but I have no idea about the quality of the form or the site so I'm just not too sure... Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Empty chocolate boxes... on: February 18, 2009 07:47:26 AM
Anyone have good ideas or projects for all these heart shaped boxes left over post holiday?
6  COOKING / Dessert / giving credit where it's due~zombie cake on: November 22, 2008 01:13:01 AM
I know I'm way late but I wanted to thank outoftheash hugely for your amazing zombie cake! We had a big Halloween dinner party themed with all gory foods and since I was doing a big portion of it I asked my hubby if he could do a cake and showed him yours. He totally ran with it!

It was a huge hit and I would have never even thought of it without seeing yours and being so impressed by it!

Mother Earth and Father Time Smiley And yes, the belly is REAL! lol!
I was so proud of my man- he made his robe with only a 'lil help with a pattern. Cheesy and my dress was free handed-no pattern! I think they turned out pretty nice though. Wink
