I made a folding screen and filled in the frame with crayon-filled wax paper. The panels were 18"x5' each and are a chromatic rainbow (meaning the colors fade). I definitely ruined the iron and the peeler I used to shred the crayons, and it took forever! It looks good, but that will probably be the last time I use that technique again.

Where are you going to hang your stockings? Because the answer is right in front of you. Or rather, behind that piece of tinsel.
513  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Blue and Silver Wreath (pic obese) on: December 07, 2007 07:44:12 PM
Silver and blue are Hannukah colors, I think. Just putting it out there.
514  COOKING / Dessert / Re: the amazing 3D vegan dragon cake! on: November 29, 2007 03:50:45 PM
12 hours to make, but how much time to eat it? That's some serious devotion... parenthood and all that stuff. Lucky you had a friend to help!

That's funny about your son not wanting to eat the head; once I made my niece a snowman cake and she started to cry when I cut her a slice. Kids just aren't into eating their friends I guess.

It's very cool.

That is very Michael Jackson. What do you do when you wear it? I hope nothing creepy. It looks good. AND CREEPY.
516  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: corduroy western/rockabilly steer head jacket! on: November 23, 2007 08:16:02 PM
That lining is AWESOME. You should show that to everyone you meet, because it really puts the jacket in a different context.
517  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: a slew of dresses! on: November 23, 2007 08:11:10 PM
UUUmmmmm.... so this has nothing to do with the dresses (which are v. nice) but does your hair naturally curl like that? Because I think your hair is awesome too.

It reminds me of a waffle fry

Have you thought about making a version of this to be a window hanging?

Such an unusual choice to use green for the background. I think it's really cool, and lets the flames also be read as vines. And I bet it fits into your decor better. So cooool!
