491  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: it's been a hard day's night on: January 09, 2008 08:27:53 PM
These really look so amazing. This what such a good idea and has so much possibility. Would you mind posting the stencils? I have a friend who I know would love to have these, and she could even make these herself.

Gogol shirt looks great. I should have gotten one when they were in town, but I did get to meet Eugene Hutz after the show! Your shirt looks just like the concert T and I wouldn't hesitate to give you a high five if I passed you in the street.

And remember what Gogol says, "think locally...."

That was one of the craziest shows I've ever been to, and I live in New Orleans!

it's very colorful and lovely.

Oooh, that's awesome! I like that you've put the text over where the baby's diaper will be. Kids really stink.
495  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Matching Kitty hat and gloves on: January 02, 2008 08:20:06 PM
That is such a cute set! I was flipping through MS Living in the grocery checkout the other day and I saw something about sewing non-slip patches onto your cashmere gloves so that you can still actually DO things in them, and this is like the child's version. Your little girl looks so happy too!

That's very beautiful. I really like the way you did the topstitching in that yellow (or is it gold?). It looks really nice.
497  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: baby, baby, don't say navy!: a tank top on: January 02, 2008 08:15:40 PM
Stealing from work is rather obligatory! I think it's funny that you made buttons out of fabric with bows, instead of the obvious alternative.

Are those dead baby whales falling from the bigger whale? That one is my favorite.

Hm, I wouldn't normally be interested in this style of shirt but I like the way you've made yours. Maybe it's the heat here too; I'm kinda thinking about going skinny dipping at my boyfriend's dad's house. I guess making a skirt like yours would be more constructive and less regrettable!
500  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: flannel pj bottoms womens elastic waist pattern on: December 31, 2007 11:56:19 AM
I've always just copied a pair of pants that I already have. You can make a casing at the waist to make the pants elastic or drawstring. Just be sure to cute the crotch of the back bigger than the front.
