1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Ideas for covering windows and mirrors on: July 15, 2012 04:19:47 PM
I really need some help thinking of ideas for covering some windows and also mirrors that are on bifold closet doors. We're going to be renting and can't hang curtains but some of the rooms in the back of the house don't have blinds including the master bedroom. DH hates the mirrors on the doors with a passion.

Any ideas would be great. Our move has been taking forever and my brain is about fried.

I love all the bright happy colors. I have a few trays that are silver and just love them. I'll have to go check out our new GW.  Smiley

Wow. That's amazing. It's really nice. Makes me wish I need one myself but my machine never moves.
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Naruto and Bleach Patterns on: March 05, 2010 08:37:19 AM
This may have been discussed somewhere before but I didn't see it.  So if that's the case, sorry.
I'm really new to cross stitching and I want to find something I'd really like to do.  Does anyone know where I can find a pattern/how to for Kakashi and Iruka from Naruto?  Also, Ichigo from Bleach?
Thanks in advance.

So cute. I really like the lining. It's like a happy little burst everytime you open your bag.

Maybe that's the problem. I've never adjusted that for anything.
9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Question about zigzag stitch on: December 12, 2009 07:47:10 AM
I use the zigzag stitch for alot of what I do. For some reason, my sewing machine has started making a little fold inside the stitch. I've tried changing the length and width of the stitches in several ways. But no matter how I have the settings, it keeps making the little fold. It wrecked a bag I was making and now my WIPs are piling up since I haven't been able to sew and applique in zigzag. Does anyone know what's causing this and how I can fix it?
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Question about looseish woven fabric on: December 07, 2009 02:17:45 PM
I'm planning to make a skirt using some woven fabric with a kind of loose weave.  It's a suiting fabric and is similiar to kilt fabric.  I don't have a serger.  I'm having trouble figuring out how to have the cut edge not fray all apart.  The already cut edges fray fairly badly.  Any suggestions for making a skirt that won't fray itself to bits?
