I'm posting another one of my art projects, just cause i really really like it =) i'm not sure if this would go in more art, less craft, or not
its based of a painting, i can't remember who, but here it is:
the "pond" is a mirror that I've just painted, and I've just glued dried flowers to the back, and the bridge is Popsicle sticks broken and glued together Smiley

26  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Valentine's week.. help! on: February 04, 2007 05:25:07 PM
well for our school we pick names for Valentines for a "Valentines week" (i'm in gr.11) and i picked out a guy in my class and i have no clue what to make him. for each day we have to make the person something. Well i don't know very much about him so it makes this harder.... so i have to make general "guy themed" crafts
day.1 A secret Note
2. Something Homemade
3. Something Sweet
4. A Poem
5. Soemthing Red
6. a Valentine Card(of some sort)

and well i wanted to make a mix cd for one of the days.. (either red(color the cd and cover red) or homemade. and so here's the list of songs i think i'll have on it
1.   Amazed – Lonestar
2.   Broken – Seether
3.   Can’t Help Falling In Love With You – Elvis Presley
4.   Close To Me –The Cure
5.   Crush – Jimmy Eat World
6.   Fall To Pieces – Avril Lavigne
7.   I Will Follow You Into The Dark – Death Cab For Cutie
8.   Let Love In – Goo Goo Dolls
9.   Love You Lately - Daniel Powder
10.   Must Be Doing Something Right – Billy Currington
11.   Must Have Done Something Right – Relient K
12.   My Valentine – Martina McBride
13.   Save The Last Dance For Me – Michael Buble
14.   Settle For a Slowdown – Dierks Bentley
15.   Summer Nights – Grease
16.   That’s So You – The Rocket Summer
17.   When You Love Someone – Bryan Adams
18.   You And I Both – Jason Mraz
19.   You And Me – Lifehouse
20.   Your Guardian Angel - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

now i just need a title.. any ideas?
and if you think any of the songs don't fit, or i should add different ones, tell me =)
oh! and if you have any ideas for crafts for the rest of the days. please let me know =)

Thank You!
27  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Ripped Jeans on: January 25, 2007 05:08:05 PM
well i have two pairs of jeans i LOVE but are both ripped. one pair is ripped, well has a hole on each side of the thigh area.
Then the other pair i jumped a fence and ripped the back of them. it starts at the bottom part of my back pocket and goes up the side of the pocket(but its ripped all the way through)
i heard a few ideas of making it into a purse... but the holes being where they are, i don't know if i can. any ideas would be great Grin

29  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / working in the round ... help! on: December 17, 2006 06:17:12 PM
well i'm knitting this toque from knitty
http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTswell.html
and i'm getting down to where i need to decrease and the needles that i've been using the yarn is totally streched across the string between the needles and in the pattern it says to us *double pointed needles* but i have no clue how to do that, is there anyother way i can finish this off, i only have 4 more rounds to do .
help!
30  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Switching colors in the round on: December 14, 2006 01:50:37 PM
i'm sure there is a topic about this, but i can't seem to find it. I've just started a toque with circular needles(first project with them) and i have this knitting book that tells me when you switch colors in the round  a "step" apears. and well i'm just about to start a different color and i don't know how to hide the step.
So bacially my question is how can you "hide the step" when you switch colors using cirluar needle.
