12  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / "Letter have it" Bag.... Help! on: July 31, 2007 06:02:50 PM
has anyone knit it yet?
well i'm on the center panel
and it says
"work in garter stich for 38 1/2(42)"."
well i am borrowing this book from a firend and she told me that, that line was wrong but she wasn't sure what it was supposed to be, so i'm totally confused and i don't want it to mess it up.
I'm knitting the bigger verion, so would i knit for 42"? or is it wrong, please help!

14  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Marshmellow creme? on: July 07, 2007 05:46:30 PM
I've never actually heard of this stuff before, and i have no clue if they sell it in Canada, I've never seen it( i bet they do sell it). but to my question, In a recipe could i somehow use marshmellows instead of marshmellow creme?
I've found this smores bars recipe that i really want to try, so is there anyway i can substitute something for the marshmellow creme?
15  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Sushi on: June 24, 2007 04:49:59 PM
my first double pointed needles! woo!!
i used the octopus pattern from here:

https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=142201.0
nicely posted by peachcake

you may be thinking, why did she name an octopus Sushi? well when i saw the post i though "sushi!.. then i remembered calamari is octopus.. not sushi... so my octopus is named sushi!"
on to the pictures!

(the pictures are in my wonderfully messing bed room, 5 exams.. i have to time to clean yet)

all 8 legs!(and those are socks in the left corner......  Smiley )

the patternwas super easy to follow, the only thing i changed was i didn't do so many decreasing rows.(if thats makes sence). if anyone wants to knit an octopus, use this pattern! its awesome  Cheesy
now i need to find some more patterns that i can use me dp needles!!

16  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Little Miss Strange on: June 13, 2007 06:20:20 PM
This is my entry =)
Her name is Little Miss Strange (yes that also is a Jimi Hendrix song) =)
I believe that Little Miss Strange is one of the nicest people out there. She is made up of lots of different yarn(about 5. lets say.) that only cost $1.00(with yarn left over!.) She may not be like Barbie or Strawberry Shortcake but she has heart. She's like a pretty knitted Square knock-off "What the heck is that?" version of Rainbow Bright =)
here are the pictures  Grin

18  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Duct Tape Wallets on: May 18, 2007 03:16:53 PM
Quote
According to the people who sell professionally done duct-tape wallets, at first, they used normal sticky duct tape. But after using them for a time, the glue melted, rendering them useless. Hence, they had to order special glue-less duct tape to make them.

is that true? and also does anyone know how hot it has to get for them to melt a bit, and how long they last!

=)
and if anyone knows a good tutorial for duct tape wallets, please post Grin
