11  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Still young at heart though... on: February 14, 2007 12:15:02 AM
My favorite aunt just turned 63. She is lots of fun and we love her so much. She tends to make jokes about her age, so I made her hoodie for her b-day. On the front left (sorry no pic) it says "Young at heart" (the a beeing a heart upside-down)....

...and on the back  Grin : (my DH is modeling)

Thanks for looking!
12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Knitted babyblanket on: February 13, 2007 04:10:06 AM
I just finished a blanket for my next baby due i June.
Its alpakka wool, and very light and fluffy, yet warm.
I also croched a hat from the left over yarn. I guess its too big for a newborn, but Hey! Babies grow Smiley

13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Solder virgin, be gentle on: February 13, 2007 01:43:04 AM
I just had to try soldering, and made this pendant a while ago.
Its a pic of my son (modified in PS). The background is a piece of my grandmothers handwritten cookbook.
The back is blue and white striped, and has his name, birthdate, weight and length.

Backside. When i cleaned it after soldering at bit of water leaked in:

Thanks for looking Smiley
14  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Stenciling on fleece? on: February 06, 2007 05:21:57 AM
How will stenciling on fleece with the freezerpaper method work?
Anyone tried it?

Im planning on sewing fleece pants and sweater for my son, and want to stencil them for that extra personal touch!
15  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Stenciled T-shirt for daddys boy on: January 24, 2007 07:17:09 AM
This is my first stencil ever. YAY!
I used the freezerpaper method and it worked out great. Freezerpaper is not sold in stores in my part of the world, but I went by the Butcher and they game some for free  Smiley

My son is a real daddys boy!!! So i made him a shirt with a pic of his dad that I made into a stencil with Photo Shop.

Close up:

My son wearing it:

Sorry about the blurry pics...
Thanks for looking!
16  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Wool Baby booties on: January 24, 2007 06:27:46 AM
This is my very first post with a pic  Smiley

I made my niece a pair of booties. I used pre-felted Nepal wool.
I think they turned out quite nice.
But they were a tiny bit too small for her  Cry

Well, Im expecting a babygirl myself in June, so I might just take them back  Grin

17  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Bob Marley on: January 23, 2007 10:55:15 AM
Hi everyone

First; You are really an inspiration. I just HAD to try stenciling after seeing all your cool projects (as if i needed a new project  Cheesy)

Anyways; I made my first stencil T-Shirt today. Yay!
I made my son a shirt with a pic of his dad that I had made into a stencil in Photo Shop. I used the freezerpaper method and it turned out really cool.

I am now hooked! And I want to make my nephew a Bob Marley shirt. He is 3 and whenever a Bob Marley tune comes on the radio he always says "Thats Bob Marley" and "Bob Marley is in heaven with my grandma"
But i dont seem to be able to find a good stencil. Anyone know a good place to look?

As soon as I reach 10 post I will be able to post pics to share with you  Smiley
