21  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Wizard's of Waverly Place on: September 27, 2008 05:39:21 PM
My niece emailed me this pic, she wants the hat made out of cotton ease in gray.  Have I taught this kid or what?  I tried making a star motif and mesh in between, but it didn't look right.  Disney should have a craft page for patterns from their shows, but it is Disney so they would probably charge and arm and a leg.

We are having 3 year old sleep over at my house tonight and while looking at this I hear "I want that!"  I looked up at the TV to see what they were talking about and it wasn't on TV, it was the hats.

I can't believe no one mentioned Hooked on Murder: A Crochet Mystery.  I can't remember the authors name.  But I always mean to pick up this book and forget!

I forgot all about that!  Thanks so much.  I am going to dig it out right now!

My absolute favorite is called Rust goes Green.  You can find it here

I have made a ton of them.  I make them out of acyrlic.  I don't know why, probably because I make them out of stash left overs.  It gives them some character and I don't have to buy anything!

I am sure it looks great, but I don't have myspace so I can't see the pic.   Anyway, I love 2 yarn things too.  I have been thinking about using the white and lilac microspun and a speed hook for a scarf.

I am doing it by machine.  I have a pattern, I made it 40% bigger than I thought it needed to be and it shrank way more than that.  Maybe is is cause my machine is new I am I not used to the way it works.

But thanks!

I get this if I don't take breaks enough.  I usually lotion up the spot and throw on a band aid if it gets to bad.

Has anyone come across or know of a pattern for one?  I am on my 3rd attempt and when it comes to the felting, it ends up too small and I am not wasting anymore wool and by wasting I mean letting my kid play with them with her dolls.

Thanks!
