1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Away with the scarfs and in with the Collars (Mmm, cozy) on: August 31, 2008 11:25:22 AM
I love this! I need some since I'm going up to Rhode Island from Jersey so I gotta get ready for the New England chill!
If only I could knit...
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Watercolour doll paintings. on: August 24, 2008 07:47:30 AM
Hey can I give you some constructive criticism?
I love how you've only rendered the faces really.. and left the drips to shape the rest of the area you're painting on. If you tinted the rest of the paper underneath the faces where the bodies would be.. I think the drops would stand out more as an accent rather than really drawing your eye away from the face which is what they're doing now. You want to focus on the face.. you know? not the drops.
These are great though.. Smiley

I love Peter Max! And I love this. What a cool idea for a school.

I love love love what you did with the neckline/heart. I've never seen that before.. it's great.. and it looks great on you! If you ever get pictures without the t-shirt under you should post them!
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: alice in wonderland collages - now with pics! on: July 01, 2008 08:56:01 AM
These are very very cool collages. It reminds me of work a friend of mine did all during senior art this year but a lot more sophisticated.  Cheesy
8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Japanese landscape polyptych painting & Godard style painting on: July 01, 2008 08:52:24 AM
I love both! You have an eye for color. I've never heard of Godard before.. must google! And I like the dots in the first painting.. it reminds me of Australian Aboriginal art
9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Lots and lots of art on: July 01, 2008 08:49:00 AM
I also thought the Kotex painting was a photo.. that one is truly impressive. Where do you go to school if you don't mind asking?.. I'm about to be an art major next year and hopefully I'll become an art teacher.. so we'll be in the same boat maybe.
Really nice drawings btw
In your learnings you should attempt sculpture.. I see it in your drawings. You have a great sense of shape. Sweet work!
10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: The Unloved Goldfish on: July 01, 2008 08:42:16 AM
I love both fishes! I can see why your friend likes the other one better.. it's just happier. The goldfish brings you back into the painting whereas in this one the fish is looking off the canvas.. so you do too.. and then nothing is there. But you get the effect of "The Unloved Goldfish" for sure so right on. I love your shrinky dinks as well! You've got a graphic art mind.. I'd like to see a comic strip in your style of painting/drawing.  Smiley
