1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / My version of a Fire Fighter on: November 01, 2006 08:55:33 PM
I decided to not waste my time looking like everyone else, so i decided to make my own Fire fighter costume. I chose fire fighter because i was given the nick name "fire" with my cousins and boyfriend. [long story] so here it is. i think the only thing that really made the costume was the hat.

I bought the jacket at ross in the boys' section, I bought yellow "duck tape," and the hat at party city. I had everything else. My boyfriend is a butcher on the left and i'm dressed in my costume on the right.

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / USB DOG! on: September 15, 2006 12:20:24 AM
So inspired by my previous post, https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=119113.msg1139077#msg1139077,
I decided to pursue a USB animal of my own.  Presenting Memo, the Memorex USB Travel dog.

I used the memorex lanyard as his leash, and just shoved the travel drive in his mouth.

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / laptop box for backpack on: August 28, 2006 11:05:06 PM
with school starting and everything, i soon realized that i would like to bring my laptop everywhere with me on campus.  I came to a dilemma, however, realizing that my books might put some unwanted pressure on my prized graduation present.

I thought of using a simple bag to protect it from scratches and the like, but i knew a slip bag wouldn't do anything to protect it from wait..

So, I tried looking for some ideas on craftster, and while nothing caught my fancy (and i was too lazy to look everywhere) I decided to make a container for my laptop to easily fit into my new backpack:

i rushed to get it finished before school started.

and i plan on using the extra fabric to make a mini purse to take with me where my backpack can not follow.  Wink
