1  feedbag wristlet! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by InfiniteCosmos on: December 27, 2007 08:21:12 PM
I made this yesterday and i'm all smitten over it! I made this from a discarded alpaca feedbag. Comments welcome and encouraged! I didn't get a great pic of the back but it says "animal feed" on it. Anyways here it is!

Thanks for looking!

2  All Breed feed bag purse and wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by InfiniteCosmos on: September 27, 2007 02:39:54 PM
We have lots of animals and they eat All Breed. The bag it comes in is  this stiff plasticy-coated canvas stuff and it seems so sturdy and such a shame to throw it out when they finish a bag! So i decided i wanted to do something with it. I made this awesome messenger bag and i had enough left over for a wallet!

what do you think?

I'm loving how this dress came out! I made it with hand dyed hemp silk in a plum blossom color. It came out kinda splotchy and i was hating it at first but then i decided it love it  Grin Here's a few pics

4  Re: anyone here made gaged earrings with clay? in Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions by InfiniteCosmos on: August 17, 2007 01:16:19 PM
well thanks for the insight and info ladies. I am slightly bummed about it cuz the spirals i got are so flipping cute (big, silvery, sparkley and gorgeous!) and i was a little skeptical myself about the safety of it. A myspace friend of mine as well is making and selling them so perhaps i should warn her about it.
I read the package to the premo sculpey last night and noticed that the main ingredient is PVC!! Shocked i can't cite the specifics but i know for sure i have heard that PVC has potential health risks so you're right: better safe than cute and toxic  Cry
like i said, my husband is a glass blower and has become inspired by my sculpey spirals to make even cuter glass spirals as seen on me in this pic
thanks for the help ladies!

5  2 awesome festival outfits i made :) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by InfiniteCosmos on: August 08, 2007 09:52:58 PM
my sister in law and my niece came to stay with us for a few days before they went to a festival up near portland last month. They had gone last year and had mentioned they didn't have anything cute to wear to the shows so i offered to make them something fun to wear.
I had sooooo much fun making these outfits! my SIL's outfit is made of black stretchy velvet and is paired with a super shiny hologram rainbow fabric. the skirt is made of a sparkly dress i found at goodwill. i cut off the bottom and used the hologram fabric as a waistband. i really like how  it looks with the hologram legwarmers!!
My niece's outfit is a bunch of calico fabrics and the top is hemp (pink) and a soft flannel (purple) and has hologram straps and and a strip in the bottom of the shirt.
the LOVED their outfits!! they said they got tons of compliments all weeked : ) anyways here they are!

comments welcome!

6  dumpy sweater-->sassy hooded bolero!! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by InfiniteCosmos on: December 26, 2006 08:24:32 PM
this was really easy and with minimal sewing too! i felted the 100% wool sweater by washing it on hot and then drying it on high. i didn't bother serging or finishing the edges cuz it really doesn't need it. it's so felted that it will never fray.
so here it is! ignore my grody face, i swear i'm prettier in real life!

i haven't put a clasp/button on yet cuz i can't think of what would look best. any suggestions?
comments, criticisms welcome!

8  my first post! winged tube top! TINY TUT ADDED! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by InfiniteCosmos on: July 15, 2006 04:24:37 PM
i couldn't figure out what to call this shirt hence the name "wnged tube top". i think this shirt looks like it gives you wings. I'm in love with it! i made it out of an ugly t-shirt from goodwill. please excuse my dumb facial expression and my wedgied pants!

the pics aren't the best but you get the idea. LMK what you think!
so here's the tut! sorry it's so small, it's my first try, give me a break! you get the idea though. if you have any ?'s just ask! enjoy!
cut the middle piece for the tube top. stitch sides
use the two side pieces for the sleeves
the 2 side pieces should look like this. unfold and cut along the yellow lines
the fluttery edge is the longest outside edge. i stretched it and tightly zig zagged, hem the other edge, attatch the sleeves et voila!
