842  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hot Transfer Pencils - First Time User! on: July 12, 2006 09:45:59 AM
So does the Sulky pen wash out easily (or more easily than the transfer pencil)?  Just for my own paranoia, is DMC floss pretty color fast?  Usually when I finish a cross stitch design, I just press it and hang it up, I don't think I've ever had to wash any other projects...

Ooooo, I found this amazing FREE Marilyn Monroe pattern the other day, check it out:

I hope that link works, let me know if it doesn't.. I tried to download it the other day, but I think you have to act like you're buying it but it doesn't actually cost anything..  anyway, I got too impatient, hopefully it'll help you with your Marilyn obsession Wink
845  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: x-stitching roman columns on: July 09, 2006 11:14:56 AM
I found a few decent roman cross stitch patterns here:

No columns, but the second one would be really pretty with a quote above or beside, I think..  you might also want to check out microsoft's online clip art gallery..  they had a few nice column images.

I found a ton of really pretty roman fonts for cross stitch and embroidery, I can't wait to see how this project comes out!  Not that nerdy btw Wink
846  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: okie I have ideas for the wedding present, but I need some feedback! (img heavy) on: July 09, 2006 10:00:21 AM
I actually really like the first, more traditional couple..  it would be cool if you could add some tattoos to the bride (maybe even copy some real tattoos that the couple have)..  that way you could create a likeness without trying to actually make the people in the picture look like your friends Wink

great ideas, I'm sure they'll love whatever you end up doing (make sure to post the finished project!!!!)
847  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Sasquatch Pattern on: July 08, 2006 11:46:12 AM
Hello Everybody (Long time reader, first time poster!),

My sister and I are planning the creation of a Sasquatch-themed bathroom (why not hehe) and I was thinking of making a cross stitched sasquatch for the wall..  does anybody out there know where I can find a sasquatch pattern?  I was thinking of using furry yarn instead of embroidery floss and making him nice and furry Smiley  Ideally, I'd like to use the classic walking bigfoot design from that famous Patterson Film (except I'm going to give him a big toothy grin Smiley

Thanks in advance, sorry for the odddddd pattern request!
