When I see all the bands people listen to I feel I have no clue whatsoever about music. Maybe that's the county difference.. But there are loads of bands I've never heard of on everyones playlist!!

I forgot I'd made pictures of my cd covers!!!

It's caled Bianca, 100% acrylic, 260 m per 100 gr. and only 1,49!!! they have them in some different color variations, think some white/brown/? red/purple/blue and this one is green/red/pinky/brown/black with a hint of blue because of the fade between colors.

I buy it at the Wibra, that's a kinda cheap store (think dollar store) here in Holland. I don't think it's in the US.. If you wanted some you could always do a personal swap with someone from Holland  Wink

Ooh I did some edging last night, simple sc along the bottom side. It has almost stoped it from curling up in the one corner but it lets it curl if so needed. I think I might add some fringe on.. but I'm liking it like this too

Pfew.. Looked through all the pages on this thread... Some lovely clapotises!!! I'm glad I looked, I was worried about the holes you get when you first start out, I had no idea they were to 'hold' the dropped stitches.

I started mine tuesday, this was my progress so far yesterday after 1 ball of yarn (I've now got 11 straight row repeats.. it's just a bit longer than my arm right now so I'm nearly half way there)

The yarn is acrylic (yay! cheap but lovely yarn) because it's a present for my bf's mom. The house is full of animals that love to shed hair and smell onto my hand knit gifts! So it'll need to take some serious washing.

Do you think washing will help it not curl so much? Otherwise I might put an edging on, perhaps some beads, I dont know!

The crochet stitch bible
I just bought this book today, it's my early christmas present to myself..

Anyhow, I couldn't help myself so I started flipping through it and was looking at the basic instructions. Now, that's where I'm getting a bit confused.

They have an illustration showing you how to Double crochet (DC or dc) but to me this looks like they're showing you to SC. It tells you to stick the hook in the 2nd ch from your hook then wrap the yarn around the hook and pull the loop through the chain, wrap yarn around hook and pull through both loops on the hook.

To convince myself I wasn't crazy I looked it up :

This is what their DC looks like:

Also the treble looks like DC and the double treble looks like treble. So the table of turning chains is also off...

Has anyone else seen this or had this crazyness come over them??? It's got to be me, maybe there are just diferent ways of doing things I don't know of... Huh

19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Row counter bracelets - stylish AND functional! on: November 16, 2006 02:17:29 AM
Hmm, might be even better!

There could be more space for the beads, so you could use larger beads (with the bracelet that wouldnt work.. not enough space to move the beads back and forth) or you could use more beads and make it be able to count more rows!

Well... I received from katie_ramone9 today!!!  Cheesy

I've never seen something packaged like that before, ever. Maybe I should visit the post office more often, get more acquainted with their packaging options Tongue

Anyway, I don't know most of the bands so I've been listening to some really new stuff. Got to say I like the moldy peaches song best.. (I'm a bit down at the moment and that song just hits the mark for some reason, not the text tho.. I'm not feeling very manitee like).

We have different tastes, for sure, but I'm quite liking it  Grin It's a bit like what I used to listen to when I started listening to 'real' music (I admit it.. I went along with the boy band craze... it's the dirty secret most of my generation must carry with them).

so.. I guess I'm saying I really like it!

Thanks katie_ramone9 for a new blast of music!
