11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Cable Hat! on: November 21, 2007 10:11:34 AM
I love the look of knit cable hats, but dpns hate me, a lot. So I did it in crochet:
It's actually this color

and this is it on

Took me forever to come up with a pattern for it that actually worked, hehe.
Anyways, tell me what you think!
12  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Little Ninja with free pattern link on: October 26, 2007 08:31:58 AM
There was a cute little round ninja that someone posted here recently, which reminded me of http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/plush/8823/ these from ThinkGeek. I've always liked the look of the little square ninja dudes, but didn't want to pay 10 bucks for a 5" tall one, so I made my own in crochet.

Pattern is available here:
13  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Divine hat and pattern link on: October 23, 2007 04:59:21 PM
I loved that hat that Divine_Gift posted here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=202060.0 so I made up my own version!
Here's the hat:

And the pattern is here:
I still need to take a picture of the hat on me, looks much cuter that way.
14  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Beary Jackson, amigurumi bear with pattern link! (img heavy) on: September 27, 2007 06:09:34 PM
So why is his name Beary Jackson? Because I haven't learned yet not to ask my husband to name things I make, heh. Anyways, I had some extra Jiffy yarn lying around after a knitting project, and I wanted to make it a hat, but it didn't want to be a hat, it wanted to be a bear. Specifically this bear:

I wrote up the pattern for him after I finished, so if there are any issues or questions with it just post or pm me and I'll either try to fix it or clarify.
Pattern is now on my website! Here-> http://www.rheatheylia.com/index.php?page=patterns&id=2
And an extra just because he's cute

15  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Fuzzy Monkey! Amigurumi cuteness inside on: June 25, 2007 07:36:16 AM
So I've had this little dude made for a long time, several months have gone by and I keep meaning to post about him, I uploaded the pictures a while ago, but still slacked off about posting. Anyways, I finally got around to posting, so here he is! Though I guess it should really be here she is since it's overwhelmingly pink, but it just looks like a he to me.

I get a lot of inspiration from Amigurumi I see on the web, in this case it was from Amigurumi kingdom. He was made my carrying a strand of the fuzzy yarn with a strand of simply soft, makes the body more sturdy than the thin fuzzy yarn alone, plus it works up much faster, heh. I hope you guys enjoy looking at him as much as I enjoyed making him!
16  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Lavender Bunny for a Baby *Finally fixed my row counts!* on: April 09, 2007 08:35:39 AM
I've been really bad lately and haven't been posting anything I've been making. This is a bunny I made for a couple who recently had a baby in my Sunday school class. Actually I made two, a pink one first, and then after learning that their older daughter (3 I think) loves bunnies, I made one for her too (this one). I finished the pink one right before class, so I forgot to take pictures of it, looks basically the same though.
The design was inspired by a post by another craftster, but i didn't feel like buying a Japanese pattern book, then waiting for it to arrive, so I just made my own.
Sorry for the ridiculously long preamble, so without further ado, pics!

Edit: Finally fixed the row counts! Plus I have a new website (thanks to my husband)
17  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Cute and Fuzzy Kitty Amigurumi (Img Heavy) on: December 13, 2006 10:17:05 AM
It's exam week at school, and in an attempt to keep from studying and doing finals I bought some crazy fuzzy yarn and decided to make some amigurumi. I'm really happy with the way he turned out. I was inspired by the works of Amigurumi Kingdom, so if he looks a little familiar, that's probably why. He's got a removable ribbon collar with a bell, and a tiny little tail (which was a pain to make). He's about six inches tall. In case anyone is curious he's made with Simply Soft and Bernat Frenzy. Anyways, on to the pics:

18  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Lattice Legwarmers Now with Pattern Link! on: October 06, 2006 09:47:00 PM
I made these legwarmers for the Autobahn (an electronic music festival here in Ohio) since I want to wear a skirt and the weather has been a bit chilly as of late. Some of the lattices are four wide instead of three due to a miscount in my beginning chain. I would've started over but then I wouldn't have them done in time for the concert, heh. I'm really proud of how they turned out, especially since the pattern is my own. I'm thinking of doing some more in different colors so I can wear them to work, will be sure to chain the right amount this time, hehe! Anyways, on with the pictures. The first one looks kinda brown, but the color is black like in the second pic.

It's really hard to take decent pictures of your own legs, lol.

Edit: They actually were (to my surprise!) quite warm, I'm sure it wouldn't be great to wear them when it's super windy and cold, but for the fall they work out great!

Edit: Pattern is now on my new website! Come and get it: http://www.rheatheylia.com/index.php?page=patterns&id=1
19  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Katamari crochet and a slime on: June 28, 2006 09:42:10 PM
I recently taught myself to crochet (about a month ago) after discovering amigurumi, I just flip for cute things, heh. Anyways, my boyfriend and I are big video game fans, so I decided to make him a few things. First was the slime, I got him addicted to Dragon Quest VIII so I figured it was fitting, it's the second thing I've ever crocheted and I think it turned out pretty well for me just winging it  Cheesy
anyways, here he is:

The next thing I decided to make for him was Kuro, which is his favorite cousin from Katamari Damacy. He's over a foot tall, and was a real learning experience for me, but so much fun to make!

He's over a foot tall (standing) and I made him totally without a pattern, wish I would've written down exactly what I did Tongue  I'm so very tempted to make myself a Miso now, but I'm currently making a black, red, and grey katamari for Kuro and an Ultros (from Final Fantasy) for one of my friends, hopefully I'll have up pictures of them soon!
Thanks for looking, and hooray for my first post!  Grin
