1  Re: Fantasy, Fairytales, Faeries and Folklore round 2 gallery! in The Swap Gallery by christinaX on: June 03, 2009 06:12:51 PM
Huzzah!!  I got my package!!!  Tero is the best swap partner ever!!

It definitely made my day!

Ahem, a bit of warning.  She made me a funny funny funny gnome, but I don't think I can post the pic cause you can see his weiner.  So, here is the link to the pics she posted, and they are not kid/work friendly. I don't know how else to handle it, uh, hehe, so click on this link if you want to see it:

I can, however, show you the other goods!  I am so very spoiled and it's like Tero knows me.

Here is everything, except the naked gnome, together:

Here is two awesome pendants with mermaids and unicorns, a mermaid bookmark, and a swell pair of earrings that everyone will totally want:

A cool fairy bookmark and a nice handwritten note:

Three unicorn books with my fave artist's work in them :

 A cool fairy fabric panel:

And a sweet bag with the green woman, handbeaded goodness:

I am in total heaven  Grin  In fact, I may need a smile remover by the end of the night!

Tero rocks my socks off!!!

I got my jar!!  Yay!!

Here is a messy pic, sorry, I dont have alot of space to spread things out these days!

Here's another pic, in the jar and I have no idea why my hand looks so funny, LOL.

There was ribbon in hot pink and orange, two of my fave colors, fake flowers, which I totally love!!  The sunflower is going to be a hairclip as soon as I can find my glue, LOL.  There was a little embroidery kit to make a little butterfly pic, bottlecaps in the brown bag and I love bottlecaps!!!  There was beads, a shell, bits and bobs, a cool pink scarf, and this cute coaster/quilt square looking things that will get used on our screened in porch!  There was so much more I cant even name everything cause Im still going through it.

This was my partner's first swap and she did great!!  Susan rocks!!!

7  My First ATCs!! Jack has an identity issue. in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by christinaX on: July 12, 2007 04:13:00 PM
Hey guys!  Please check out my first ATCs.  I made them today.  Since I am obsessed with Halloween, I have made a set entitled " Jack's Identity Crisis".  Poor Jack O'Lantern, he has no idea if he is coming or going.  He doesn't think he wants to be a Jack O'Lantern anymore.  So he tries on some different things.  First, he tries to really go incognito and tries out for a modeling gig.  Turns out Pink isn't his color and he was going to have to change his hairstyle. Then maybe a stint as a gardener may work, but he just ended up in the garden himself.  Then he thinks he may run off and join the circus with his cat friend Petey, but I couldn't come up with a clever slogan for that one yet and Jack took Petey's advice and moved on.  Seems that Petey, even though he is a cat, is afraid of heights.  Then Jack though that maybe his best bet was just to stick it out with what he knew. Jack went back to his little witch friend Cassandra and Petey agreed that it was the best idea of all.  Boo!!  They all lived happily ever after!!

The story corresponds with the cards if you look at the cards from left to right.  There are 4 cards total.  Hope you like them!!

8  My Faux Solder Pendants in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by christinaX on: June 20, 2007 07:23:28 AM
Hey guys!  I made these a few weeks back and I wanted to see how everyone liked them and also share.

Here is my Beg for mercy Lady:

My Hot stuff lady:

and my Simply Spectacular Gal:

I made them with glass slides, images, and a sticker or two.  then I sealed the edges with glue, and once that was dry, i trimmed them with sculpey, beat the sculpey up a bit to make it look like solder, inserted a jump ring, then baked.  The low temp to bake the clay didn't burn anything because paper doesn't burn at such a low temp.  Then I added ribbon, a chain, and a very cool vintage chain that I made by piecing together a gold necklace that had very ugly beads on it.  Please let me know what ya think, and it was easy peasy!

9  My Tacky Scorpion Pin in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by christinaX on: June 01, 2007 09:31:40 AM
I love tacky and cheesy things.  This is my scorpion pin.  The image is from a deck of Loteria cards, and I put glitter around the image.  I then poured some resin.  It's in the lid of some little trinket box that I had lying around.  Then I couldn't figure out what to do next so I took a handfull of sequins and just threw them in there, then I cut some stiff black felt and glued it to the back so the sequins don't fall out.  I was thinking of putting some big fake flower petals on the back too, just to make it more over the top, but i dunno.  Here it is:

LOL, action shot:
