Awesome. I want one! I like the blue, white and black... those colours look great together.
1043  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: DIY tailor's dummy on: July 20, 2004 10:40:34 AM
Has anyone tried covering theirs in material? Just curious because I made one of those duct tape dummies the other day and was thinking of covering it in material myself...
1044  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Van Halen flag into a pillow. on: July 19, 2004 09:41:48 AM
yeah I know... that's why it's strictly ornamental. Just a decorative pillow. We don't sleep on it.
1045  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Jim Morrison stencil on: July 06, 2004 10:08:38 AM
I used to wear my Jim Morrison tshirt so much that it ripped to the point that I couldn't wear it anymore as it was. So I decided to make my favorite tshirt live on by stenciling Jim Morrison onto another tshirt. So I took my stenciling paper, laid it over the old ripped tshirt, traced it, cut it out and applied it to the new non-ripped tshirt! It turned out well considering it was my first stencil.

1046  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Van Halen flag into a pillow. on: July 05, 2004 03:17:05 PM
My bf had this old Van Halen flag that he wanted to put up on the wall but I wouldn't let him because it was all ripped on the corners and stuff. So I took it and turned it into a pillow for our 4 year aniversary!
Sorry for the blurriness. My camera sucks!

1047  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / I had this boring ugly fish tank and... on: July 05, 2004 03:14:06 PM
I decided to take some hemp and an old bamboo beach matt thingy and glue it to the frame. Here are the before and after pictures. It turned out quite well and it hides all the wires! YAY!

1048  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / First time poster here... on: July 05, 2004 03:09:09 PM
Yep, it's my first post! I figured I should make it an art one since I will be a Fine Arts student starting september. Here are a couple little paintings and things to show everyone. I accept criticism with open arms.  Wink

(acrylics and black marker)
That one is called "the american dream". You may not be able to tell but the silver tags on the pictures read as the following:
- We shall ignore those who speak freely -
- And silence those who protest and pose a threat to our so called democratic conformity -
- We are the United States of America -
- And we are the land of the free? -

Dying to Live (acrylics and black marker)

The City (watercolour, acrylics and black marker)

The Karate (acrylics and black marker)

Utopia (coloured pencils, watercolour and black marker)

Suicidle Tendencies (black marker and coloured pencils)
This one is actually about a dream one of my friends had. It's pretty creepy but I like it anyway.
