Dancer4ever graciously said that I was welcome to post pictures of the angel package that I sent her, so I will.  Smiley

Her house was Slytherin (obviously - if not I went horribly astray)

A bag to tote around the last book in

A tissue holder in case she gets the sniffles (I really hope not but judging from the last 3 books...)

Potterpuffs pins and charms, HP thumb tacks and marble magnets

Potterpuff magnets, a growing skull (just add water) and a bookmark with a Malfoy charm.

It was great to angel for dancer4ever.

Hi everyone,

Here is what the awesome dearjoan sent me...

A really cool bag with the Doozers on it, I love the dark wood handles and the shiny fabric.  It looked really tricky to make.

A really nice light green t-shirt with my favourite Labyrinth Muppet on it that fits beautifully.

A very cool Swedish Chef pendant and necklace.  The wire wrapping on it is very impressive.

Thank you dearjoan for your wonderful package!
Thank you emlee_bee for organizing such a fun swap!

Be ready to marvel at what Lunanne sent me.  Try not to be jealous but I know you will find it difficult because my package rocked!!!!

A look at everything in the box.  See the nice writing and the note cards and the ribbon...

An adorable "giant squid" notepad, perfect for jotting down important points while reading the last book.

A larger book to further develop my own thoughts and feelings about the end of the Harry Potter series.  The book is filled with great quotes from the books

A really nice bookmark (no more folded corners to hold my place while I take pee breaks during the reading marathon).  The red part is cut out allowing the yellow to show through.

Does it end?...Not yet!

A super awesome dragon with a gold egg embroidered purse.  The material inside is also exactly my style but sadly no pics of that (there is a zippered pocket too!).  Perfect size to carry around the book in case there is a fire and I have to leave the house during the reading marathon

A pink stenciled owl shirt that I can wear to venture out and buy the last book, because (as Lunanne said so eloquently) ..."owls are cute" and I wholeheartedly agree.

A great fleece lined tote bag to do my shopping with.  I'll be the coolest girl around with this.

Thank you so much Lunanne for everything.  My boyfriend couldn't believe the bags were crafted, he insisted they were store bought.  I assured him that such cool things cannot be found in stores.

I loved this swap!!!

26  Re: The End of Harry Potter Swap (SIGNUPS CLOSED, SENDOUTS April 23) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Skrabadoo on: March 26, 2007 04:50:18 PM
I am officially done, but now I'm sad it is over  Cry (the crafting part that is)
The nervous waiting is just beginning.

I would have mailed it today but the internet was down and I couldn't get the address so it will have to wait until tomorrow.
Since Canada Post is so slow, it will probably arrive next year  Wink

A sneak peek

Hopefully Lunanne likes what I sent

As promised here are a few pictures of my amazing pink apron from Amalas.  I'm sorry I don't have a picture of the back because it is really, really nice, there are criss crossing straps and even buttons and button holes.  The fabric has little dots of different colours but they don't show up in the pictures my boyfriend took.  Speaking of my boyfriend, he loves me in this apron! Wink

Here I am making some toast

Here I am fake baking with my amazing pink apron and pink Pyrex bowl

Thank you again Amalas, I love , love, love my apron!  It's perfect! Cheesy

Thanks to hellomynameisHeather's awesome tutorial and pattern I made three headbands.

They were very easy to make and quite comfy too.

I found the tutorial here: (http://heatherbailey.typepad.com/heather_bailey/)

29  Bum birthday cake (with pictures) in Party Planning by Skrabadoo on: February 24, 2007 01:36:01 PM
So it's my boyfriend's birthday and I made him a cake.  Since he is bum-obssessed I thought it was fitting.  I totally stole this idea from patty-o-furniture's amazing Valentines day cookies.

I used a bit of orange food colouring to tint the icing and sour blue raspberry candy strips for the underpants

30  I spy bag (complete w/ photos) in Winter Holidays by Skrabadoo on: December 20, 2006 08:01:33 AM
I saw these at a craft fair and thought "I could make that" and so I did. I made two for my nieces, one red and one green.

I added a little pouch with velcro at the back to store the cards in.  I also made an easy and a tricky card.  I wanted to laminate the cards but I ran out of time.  I used things around the house and even Shrinky Dinks for the hidden items.  They were pretty easy to make but sewing the clear vinyl window was a bit trying.
