1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Bikini tops on: June 02, 2008 12:37:20 PM
Well, summer is coming and I want to make some bikini tops for my lower cut shirts.  Instead of wearing a bra and a tank top I thought cute lil bikini tops would be cooler and cuter.  Also they are great for around the house.  Here is the problem... I am between a D and a DD... and most tutes and stuff for cute lil nymph like girls.  Any ideas?

If you have the extra fabric why don't you make a single panel to replace the 2 in the front.  It might make it fit.. it would also look unique... that way you could keep it.

I made this using some remnants I bought from Joann's, I think its a jammy flannel or something.  I used this tutorial https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=105563.0 by Weewah.  I love my new bag... it isn't perfect because I just got my sewing machine last week and I'm still learning.  Tell me what you think!!

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pornstar tank into small purse on: April 22, 2007 12:00:39 PM
1st purse ever!! I had an old Pornstar brand tank from my mallrat days that I turned into a bag.  It was trashed from wearing while painting.  I didn't have a pattern or anything I was just inspired by craftster.  This entire purse was sewn by hand.

There is a strip of cardboard covered in fabric to give the bottom some shape.

Here it is with stuff inside.

Comments and helpful tips would be appreciated.
