1  Re: mini 13 days of halloween gallery round 2(start opening 19th) in The Swap Gallery by BhamBaby on: October 26, 2010 07:59:44 PM
The witch carousel is amazing! I want one!

A tiny brag on my son, he made all of the cinnadough bowl fillers for koalascout. He got on a kick and rolled 120 of the cinnabuns lol
Sorry for the ghetto bbq bag I had to put them in. I was worried that they would stick to paper.

Day 1

Ghostie wearing a bat tie pleather bag and crocheted table runner. Love the colors on the runner! I can't wait to use it. I have the perfect spot already picked out! Thank you!

Day 2

A Halloween duck. Thank you!

Day 3

A mini felt pumpkin bucket with tiny little candies and cookies. The candy corn is so cute! Thank you!

Day 4

Make your own door knob hangers foam kit. I let the littles next door make them and they gave one to each of the elderly neighbors next to us. The littles are moving in a couple of weeks so the oldest, who's 5, said it was a going away gift from him :-) Thank you!

Day 5

BEWARE garland. Sweet! I really like the backgrounds and the fonts used! As soon as my batteries charge back up I'll take a pic of it hanging up on the fireplace. Thank you!

Mantel pic!

Day 6

Mini spider bag. It's big enough to hold my sock yarn down inside my bigger bag. I'm planning on using it as a yarn holder anyway for a doctors visit this week. And the spiders match my spider earrings my daughter made me. Thank you!

Day 7

Make your own Halloween candy jars. There are three little water bottles there. One seems to be hiding. A great rainy day project with the littles. Thank you!

Day 8

Halloween cookie cutters and recipes. I looked high and low for my cutters after we moved and they've gone poof! These were so needed! Thank you!

Day 9

Halloween fat quarters! Love the eye fabrics! I have plans for these! Thank you!

Day 10

Cool Diner sign. Love it! Thank you!

Day 11

Martini Shakers. The kids are using these to make their koolaid cool without having to have ice in their glass lol I think next year I'll use them with a flicker light in the bottom. Thank you!

Day 12

Halloween Cd. Thank you!

Day 13

I opened when I got up. Nothing like a bit of halloween with your coffee :-) Two foam make your own tic tac toe board games. Thank you!

Thanks so much to the organizer, this was fun!

I know Compwalla is moving so I'm going to post pics of the apron I sent her.

Again with my son providing his 'special poses' with help from the youngest in one photo.

Her apron is reversible. You can wear the ties in front or back for either side but the floral side has a pocket so I tied it in back. It also ties around the neck for control over how high up you want it.

I got the most lovely apron! It's so well done and in beautiful fabrics too!

Thank you Compwalla!

My darling son modeled for me. He's a bit flat chested and only a foot or so taller than me, but I think we can all admit, it looks darling on him hehe

I was sooo spoiled by jennilocker!

First up is the purse.

Large and a perfect color combo! The handles have matching ribbon trim!

Then the contents!!

A composition notebook with matching cover
Paris stenciled make up bag *LOVE*
Key ring
Day planner with matching cover
Mesh tidy totes *will make great bags to use at the farmers market this summer*
A mirror she covered in clay with leaves and a butterfly on it
Some lovely candy that lasted ohhh about 4 mins lol
Recipe cards
Magnetic notepad and a journal. The last three made me giggle. They say "I child-proofed my house but they still get in" Funny as heck!

AND I have a handmade card!

You went above and beyond! Thank you so much!

7  Re: Show me your Christmas tree! in Winter Holidays by BhamBaby on: December 24, 2009 06:15:58 AM
Blue Cherry, I love the red and white!

Our lovely tree. It's real and I adore the smell.

We always have paper snowflakes. When we were first married, and before my mother and dh's grandmother passed on ornaments, we only had things we could make ourselves and paper snowflakes were high on the list.

I save a few every year but we make the majority of them new. It's fun to see how the kids progressed over the years. I laminated a bunch of them and pass them on to the kids as they move out.

My wonderful package from Zombie Queen. We swapped extra, napkins and potholders. She sent early because she's having a baby!!

I'm giving everyone permission to be jealous now because she did an amazing job!

First up the whole package. Sweet retro cherry fabric and giant rick rack! What's not to love? Forgive the big black blob on the side. I didn't pay attention when taking pics and had her apron hanging up behind it.

Sweet strawberries. So soft and squishy!

Did I mention giant rick rack?

And just look at these napkins! Two different yellows that match perfectly AND hand stitched details. She says she's not much of a sewist but I beg to differ.

Thank you so much Zombie Queen. With all you have going on to make such a great swap package means a lot.

9  Re: Fall 2009 Swap a Medium Flat Rate box of supplies Gallery in The Swap Gallery by BhamBaby on: November 21, 2009 01:57:17 PM
Nearly every time I got on here to upload pics the folks fixing my wiring needed to turn off the power. I finally have my electric on after they had to cut two walls to fix a problem.

Here's my box from pinokeeo. It was stuffed!!

She sent me a ton of goodies that I can use to make things for my dollhouses. I haven't got to play with any of it yet but I have great plans for the yarn and leather.

Thanks so much!

10  Re: The Christmas Ornament Swap Gallery (Sendouts Oct. 23rd) in The Swap Gallery by BhamBaby on: October 30, 2009 10:06:46 PM
I received from SprigofIvy

Two sweet stuffed fellas, a snowman and gingerboy, the little ginger and snow guys are made of clay and the glass balls are handpainted with the same two guys. One is stuffed with I think cotton and the other is stuffed with bird feathers. So pretty!

Thank you so much Ivy, I can't wait to see them on my tree for many years to come.
