1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Lost in the land of the molds on: November 16, 2008 05:09:33 AM
So iv'e always been interested in resin but could never get my hands on some molds i liked.
I mean i continuously find the set with all the different kinds of square rectangles, tear drop shapes. and yes its an open canvas to mess with i'm still on the picket fence. I wanted more stuff like birds animals skulls, start outlandishly ODD things cuz thats how i rock. lol
Well my most recent and troubling issue is rings i want to make thos large chunky rings or even the small uniform resin ones.On ebay there are many ring molds however no one makes mention of the ring size they are supposed to be so i'm not taking that chance.
Any advice or links? Google must be tired of me i keep entering all kinds of combinations.
Thanks ladies and gents I appreciate any words of wisdom =D

3  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / ALICE IN WONDERLAND on: September 26, 2007 04:52:39 PM
So heyyy. im trying to be Alice in wonderland this year. my bf will be the mad hatter. =D
So i figure hes doing a modern rendition of the hatta based on a graphic novel i found. So likewise i am doing an update version of Alice. i got the pattern for my dress. its reall simple Halelujah since im like a pattern noob. But the distinguishing part about the costume is the APRON. sooo hence i ask how do i go about this it seems simple a square for the front torso, a long rectangle for the bottom half of me a drawstring to tie it up. But the Ruffles? should i make the ruffles by ...s*** whats it called by....PLEATING the fabric enuf to make taht ruffly look around the edges???
like this>>>

is there a pattern imean buying it would be like ..i dunn ohow much. but u get my mind set here i want to make it (what else to do on craftster lmao)
Ok ladies get to talkin i wanna hear it all. paleeeeeeeeze.

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Andy Warhol and Gwen Stefani's bastard child on: September 01, 2007 10:58:07 PM
Alllllllrighty then so i was watching thread  banger and they stenciled using regular spray paint like that stuff you puton walls. so..... i attempted a test run on a makeshift bag.
I call it  Andy Warhol and Gwen Stefani's bastard child.  Grin Cheesy
its soo not finished and needs a zipper badly lol. i used white onthe yellow that was sad you could see it you stood next to me...or stared at it but with the black i just put on there its a whole lot better. Be kind i stenciled the bananas myself and the letters well that good old elmers stencils pack.
Oh and yeah iknow its messy but its like a total experiment...can i wear it?

ANY feedback paleeeze lol x)
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / black skull bag but what kind of handle to add? on: June 17, 2007 07:22:37 AM
I made this lilttle dooda last night well i started last week scraped it and started it again. ITs got two buttons that close the flap and two lil bows on the bottomr right corner but u can hardly notice it in the pics. This is my stab at a small purse thing since usually i carry Humogoferous bags with only a pen and a cellphone in it lol
My dilema is to add a handle or  long chain as a strap since i think a fabric strap would look bad.
comments welcomed =)

6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / I only have till midnight to decide on a sewing machine. on: April 25, 2007 09:18:01 AM
Hey overstock is having like a 10$ off thing for new customers and 1 dollar shipping. Overstock is sweet.
Well THe hing is that im kinda streching the dollar (as all students do)
Im wondering which is a good machine to start out with . Remember guys this is in an effort to save a buck here.

Heres the purty purple one =) But do i need all of its features?

This is the second one its pretty basic now both are being marked down by at least 10 dollars.

So which is the best one for me . ill be doing shirt recons bags maybe a pair of skinny jeans or two but nothing major like quilting. Maybe a dress but thats a shirt related recon. Stuff like that. So am i ok gettin the cheaper of the two or is it better i spend the little more on the purple one. Its just a thought that if i get the purple one it wont be used to its full capacity whereas the cheaper one will.
So if you guys can give me some ideas or offer your advice id greatly appreciate it. Plus i only have till the end of the day midnight to buy it on this 10$ off sale thing.
Ok thank for listening.

*** UPDATE****
So i bought the cheaper of the two and recieved it today and boy do i regret it. I dont know too much about machines but i know this THe bobbin winder on the cheaper one is horrible and it even began to shred my fabric. im returning it and getting the purple one i had to zoooom into the picture and i realized it had that bobbin winder that im used to handling. So sigh now i must wait.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Kitty Needs a home on: April 16, 2007 11:20:04 PM
OK so I have wanted to get my cat a cat house for a lil while now. But so far im seeing outrageously priced homes that arent even big at all. So my wonderful Boyfriend suggested that now that ive emptied out my chest i should convert it into a cat house for dobey (el gato)
this is wat im talkin about

Im thinking to line the bottom with a wicker like matt since he loves that material. Then to put like a shelf across the left half of the box so he can sit up there above the trunk floor. I will  leave the top open permenantly and hand  strings and toys from the top. And he will enter his lil castle by a door ill cut out of the bottom. What do you guys think?
OHJHH and the ouside may be lined with carpet since he may wanna scratch stuff.

heres hte Model of it lol enjoy.

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / My Cat is DESTROYING the moulding onthe doors. on: April 10, 2007 08:12:01 PM
Ok so my cat for lack of a better word is an asshole lol. Its ok he knows it.
He likes to scratch up the moulding around the doorway, he does this to my door only since he knows where i sleep.
He doesnt seems to destroy anything else. SOOOO
wat to do im renting and i dont blame landlords for wanting to NOT rent to people with pets.
The moulding has mybe 3 scratches on it so far but this is repairable but over some time 3 will become 300 so is there something i can rub onthe door that he will be repelled by.
Or will i have to get some industrial streanght carpet cut a strip or it and with a small tack hammer it around the moulding??
By the way this is the culprit.
Thanks in advance for any help =D  oh this is an old pic hes full grown now.

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / I stole my sisters hw supplies for this =x on: March 04, 2007 07:39:06 AM
SO i walk into the kitchen and there it sits 2 spools of wire. =)
So she has her back turned so as shes doing hw on her laptop i start to work.

I came up wih this Ring 1st

So the pearls on that one broke off the wire was super flimsy. So then i used the other wire wich was a B***h to bend i then wrapped it with the flimsy wire lol. And got this and if ure wondering wat happend tot he super flimsy ring it ended up as a tree necklace thing =)

So my sister tells me ummm that wire is bad for ure skin. so stop wasting i need to make a model ..... i wonder how long till i glow?
