11  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: What about Singer curvy 8770? on: May 02, 2009 06:25:08 PM
Ok, I have a Singer Curvy but it's the 9763 model.  In fact, I won it from the Burdastyle website last Christmas! Cheesy  I absolutely adore it!  It's as "macho" as my Brother XL 6452, that sews through layers of fabrics like buttah.  I've not tried this model but if it's anything like my Curvy, it would be a dream to have!

Good luck!
12  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: how much fabric & what types of fabric did you buy in 2009? on: May 02, 2009 06:05:25 PM
Oh maaaan, it's horrible how much I've already spent on Fabrics & it's only May! :O I buy on Etsy, Joann's & our our way back from Florida (we drove), we stopped at Hancock's of Paducah & I dropped a chunk of change there, too.  I just went to Joann's yesterday & bough a couple of yards of some yummy fabrics. *sigh*  I seriously need to de-stash & share!!   Roll Eyes

Cheesy When I saw the thumbnail pic, I thought you made a dress covered in yellow feathers (I had to squint, no glasses)..even better!  That's the coolest made-from-rubber-gloves-whoopee-sponge dress I've ever seen!  Wink

Oh wow!  I'm probably being repetitive, but awesome work.  It's so dramatic..I especially love the back ties, too!

Great work!  I'm especially liking the undies, too..I can't seem to make them too well..they somehow pucker up at the seams, even when I use my serger..I've adjusted the tension, etc.  I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong.  The panties fabrics are gorgeous, too!

I commented on your other one, too...and this one..gingham, so vintage.  And you, I have to say, remind me a bit of Dita Von Teese..you have that same beautiful, and like someone else said, "pin up" look.  Cheesy

I love the style & fabric, too.   Grin

I love them!  I'm so jealous..you've got a great eye for colors, matching them up..and they all look incredibly involved, too.  How long does it take to make one complete collage?  I've done a couple of owls with fabrics..but not nearly as many pieces as yours, though.

*this rocks*
20  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Vol25 patterns, my first 2 embroideries on: October 07, 2008 07:49:42 AM
I think they look great!  I'm not too good with hand embroidery, though I'm better now than I was last year..I have so many unfinished practice squares all over.  Roll Eyes
