1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Poop inspired wristers on: November 25, 2013 01:17:04 PM
Yeah, when I get bored, I make up weird things to knit.  Not that arm warmers/wristers are very weird, but I decided to put little turds and "POO" all over them.

But they're pretty tame, because you don't notice the poo right away...

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Clam Hands (nsfw) on: November 01, 2013 04:50:59 AM
I finished my vagina mittens last night!  Because I knitted that penis cardigan almost a year ago, I needed something a little more lady like to go with it (hurr).  I used Knit Picks Palette yarn (because it was in my stash) and it was a pretty quick knit, six days I think.  Here's a quick shot and this morning I'm going to try to do a fun photo shoot with them!

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Aerialist Painting - Performance art (pics and video) on: August 24, 2013 09:45:15 AM
I decided to combine aerial silks and paint to make a giant mess yesterday.  I took photos and video for the hell of it.  Tempra paint worked really well for this, btw.

I'd love to hear what you think.  When I go to the studio tomorrow, it should be dry.  I'm going to put it up on the wall and take more photos of the finished piece.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Nox (backless, sleeveless cardigan) on: March 08, 2013 05:01:30 PM
I felt like trying something a little different.  I think I'm kind of addicted to cardigans, I love layering pieces.  It's knit with Brown Sheep Burly Spun, which makes it super quick!  And it's very purple!

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pearl Clutcher: Magnum Edition *mature* on: February 24, 2013 05:33:06 PM
I did it again.

But this time, I used bulky yarn to make for fast knitting.  I took me less than twelve days this time (and three of those I didn't even knit at all because I got the flu).  So, this one was surprisingly fast and still super funny.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pearl Clutcher Cardigan! *mature* on: January 30, 2013 04:24:11 PM
So, I knitted this cardigan.  I actually designed it (based on an Agent Provocateur cardigan) about two years ago, but just now got around to knitting it.  So glad to have finally completed it.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Gnome Hat for Pets (free pattern link) on: September 21, 2012 11:32:56 AM
I may have received a bite wound during our little photo shoot...  I think she approves!  Used about 40 yards to make this for my cats.

It's also a free download on Ravelry (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gnome-hat-for-pets)

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Lettuce Pullover in Mmmmalabrigo Twist on: January 25, 2012 06:36:12 AM
Improvised pattern that was quick!  I started on January 17th and finished it on January 22nd!

36" bust (with two inches of positive ease) and the eyelet row gives it the empire waist.  It took 4.5 skeins of Malabrigo Yarn's Twist (in Manzanilla Olive).  The color in the photo is pretty accurate.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Eliza Sweater on: July 06, 2011 07:38:09 PM
My new sweater design!  It's knitted with Blue Sky Alpacas Skinny Dyed Cotton in Blackberry (7 skeins), in the round from the bottom up.  It's seamless with the hem knitted horizontally and joined to the body as you go.  Ravelry Project Page:  http://www.ravelry.com/projects/TheYarnBearer/eliza

New Pics!

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Rutland (cabled, wool cardigan) - (NEW PICS) Just in time for summer! on: June 03, 2011 11:35:05 AM
Yup, finished this a few days ago, so it won't get any use until October (here in Georgia).  It's made with seven skeins of Cascade 220 Heathers and seven SHEEP BUTTONS, although the pictures are crappy so you can't see the detail.  The photos were taken quickly and I'll get some more professional ones done when I'm ready to write up the pattern (btw, it is my own design).  My Ravelry project page for it is here:  http://www.ravelry.com/projects/TheYarnBearer/rutland

Okay, I'm editing this post to add new, better pictures.  Also, the pattern is finished.
