1  70's halter top from an old t-shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by 1born2knit on: August 12, 2009 10:55:49 PM
I made this out of a t-shirt. It is orange with a black raven sitting on a branch. This was super easy and quick! I used instructions from "Generation T: 108 Ways to Transform a T-Shirt". I will be making many more things out of that book as soon as I can get to a thrift store!  Grin

2  My Favorite French Toast Recipe + Pancakes and Waffles in Recipes and Cooking Tips by 1born2knit on: April 19, 2009 07:57:40 PM
This makes delicious french toast:

6 one inch thick slices of french bread, stale
2 eggs
1/2 cup of milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
cinnamon + allspice, to taste
butter or olive oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix eggs, milk, vanilla, salt, and spices in a medium bowl. Soak bread in the mixture until all the liquid is absorbed. In a pan greased with butter or olive oil, let each side of the bread cook only until it is golden brown, about 3 minutes. Place on a cookie sheet, bake for 12-15 minutes.

Also, I recently made these pancakes. I used bisquick, but added mashed banana and mango to the batter. Smiley

Finally, here are some waffles I made. I also used Bisquick for these, but added vanilla, cinnamon, and allspice to the batter. I had no maple syrup, so I made chocolate syrup to put on them.

Chocolate Sauce:
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 C milk
pat of butter

In a mug or small bowl, mix sugar and cocoa, slowly stir in milk. Add the butter. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir.

3  Strawberry-Glitter Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by 1born2knit on: October 12, 2008 10:43:13 AM
I have been wanting to sew on a machine for years and years and years. My mom and my grandma have both been sewing as long as I can remember, and yesterday my mom showed me how!

I first made a pillow, then a purse. I didn't use a pattern for either, and it's kind of obvious xD.

I'm going to use the purse as a lunch-bag.

For my next project, I have a lot of black pleather. I want to make something like this----> https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=269580.0

4  Re: For Bento-enthusiasts and newbies! (kind of long + now with pics!) in Recipes and Cooking Tips by 1born2knit on: July 30, 2008 09:51:28 PM
I love bento! I have a hamburger bento box I bring to school:

I usually put rice or pasta in the main compartment, and then in the middle I put fruit of some type and then in the top there is a dessert.  Grin
