Very pretty.  I love the colors!  Great choice in kits.  I hope whoever you made it for will like it too!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Blueberry Bobble Beanie on: December 06, 2007 07:45:28 PM
I love that you mixed crochet and knitting together!  Looks fab!  I love bobbles on hats... Great job!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Raspberry beret, the kind you find in a second hand store. on: October 29, 2007 11:36:57 AM
Don't be scared.  Go for it.  Gauge was for a 10 cm x 10 cm square  17 rows and 12 sts.  Really chunky wool.  Hope that helps!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Sari Silk Hobo on: October 24, 2007 12:21:08 PM
My Recycled Sari Silk bag is finished! I finished it a while ago, but haven't had the time to post it. Now, with my back keeping me from work or play, I thought I could a) get some serious knitting done, and b) update my blog.

The yarn was too hard to work with; and finished product is too small for me to use. I'm thinking about putting a zipper on it to make it more practical. If that doesn't work, I may frog it.

Wzrdreams: And you can have a pattern too (on my blog)!  Good luck, I would love if you post a pic of it!

Any Prince fans out there?  I made a beret, not the hardest knit, but quick and fun.  Great yarn:  Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Superchunky.  There's a pattern on my blog, but I'm sure you can figure this one out...

Great detail!  Excellent job.  But your dolls are always excellent.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Carnivale inspired felted cloche on: August 14, 2007 11:01:33 AM
Thanks for the kindness everyone.  I did make up the pattern on my own.  I have to make another one for a friend, so as I do I will write down how I do it, and post a kinda pattern.

Miss_Vicki:  I used Patons Classic wool.  Crappy yarn for other things-- excellent for felting.  But I didn't just use the machine, which may or may not have made a difference.

Soda Dreamer: I have a really big head so hats never fit me.  You could totally make one!

Thanks again!

I like it.  Looks great on you.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Carnivale inspired felted cloche on: August 13, 2007 08:06:11 PM
I've been watching a lot of Carnivale lately. As such, I have become in love with the clothes of the 20s and 30s. Love, love, love the cloche hat. So, I looked online for hours for the right pattern. And guess what? I couldn't find one that resembled the hats on Carnivale. So, I decided to make one up myself-- to be felted of course since I had never tried it.  Here it is:

I am in love with it.  I wish it was colder so I could wear it now.
