I love the fabric choices!

Thank you all so much for the kudos!!
It's quite interesting, actually, how it's sparked a Snow White/ Wonder Woman debate. I hadn't thought of either, but now I've been enlightened.
Thank you.
I see it now as the dress of their love child.
So good.

I plan on wearing it in an indie film I'm making, but hopefully it can make more appearances in my life.
It's actually really comfy.

I made up the pattern.
Yes, those are buttons sewn on.
No, the bottom part of the skirt is (conveniently) the fabric. It's like the kind of fabric used to make Saris.

Thanks again, crafty folks.

My eye for color got a little crazy on this one.
Let's just say the theme started out as unintentional
as I kept making the dress, I liked it's tackiness.
And I had yet to make anything that resembled a sideshow tent.
So here it is.

I'm goofy looking.
It helps the theme along.
Trust me.

The top is some sort of stretchy plush fabric, which would have been nice, except for the fact that it wasn't.
It doesn't show up in pictures and was terrible to sew.
A double threat,
but it's comfy.

Ahhh. It feels so pleasant to post on craftster.
I was having withdrawls.

I was drinking water when I looked at this, and I shouldn't have, because water is officially all over the keyboard.
Not that you're funny, or anything.
It's just the horns, and the expression, and the sheer BEAUTY of this outstanding outstanding outstanding creation.

it blew me away.

Stupendous. I am in love.

You amaze me.

It's so sixties, but not.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Because We All Have Worn Our Skirts As Pinafores (or wanted to) on: May 01, 2007 08:11:51 PM
Yaaaaah! for inspiration...
This was one of the easiest projects ever to do, it took literally twelve minutes and if I ever change my mind, I could pick out my stiches and wear it as a skirt again.

Thanks for the spectacular comments!!!!!

Let me give you the scoop: it's a Saturday, a formal family shindig is in an hour, and I'm stuck with a plethora of bowling-alley friendly clothes.
I noticed this Old Navy skirt from years gone by at the extreme undergrowth of my dresser.

Sweet, but what a waistline. I might have worn it maybe once.
(And yes, I am indecently exposing my ribcage-area. My apologies.)

Pair it with a shirt, add some ribbon (it crosses in the back), and pull it up to nerdy levels, and "taadaa!" a pinafore.

Peace once again, crisis averted.

No way is there ever too much Spiderman.

I covet your freaking skilled dress.
