I cut the sole from thick felt and coat it with a layer or two of the liquid rubber-stuff , not sure what you lot call it. (the latex you use to make molds)
I get great insulation on my feet from the thick felt, and if the rubber-layer wears through, I just re-coat.
However, it dries up yellow-to-amber ish, and is rarely regarded as eyecandy.

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Leftover Yarn Bits? on: March 14, 2007 11:25:49 PM
If I were the lucky gal with that many left over yarn-ends, I'd sort them into pleasing colour-schemes, knot them up and knit/crochet hats, scarves, mittens , socks and a multitude of cozies.
Socks with knotted yarn may be uncomfy to wear, so work the yarn together in other ways.

Post later with pics when you've completed your scrap-project ?
I'd love to see

10  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: First Quilt - Bright cheery little girl quilt on: February 20, 2007 06:45:07 AM
Oh that is just stunning!!!
Now I'm not much of a pink-girl myself, but I've gotta admit: combined with those lovely greens it's just fantastic.
I've been OOgling quilts for years , but never managed to work up the courage to do one. It's truly frightening. However, if i lurk this forum some more , maybe my muse will start kicking my rear.
