1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Looking for a summer dress pattern on: February 20, 2006 07:43:09 AM
Those are all really nice, I might use the New Look one.

Here's the actual dress I was thinking of, isn't it cute?

I like how the neckline is curved instead of square. But what I'm concerned about (because I've never used a patterned fabric for some reason) is that with a pattern that has a lot of pieces, won't it be very difficult to line up the images right.

I'm sure someone has done this before. So I guess I also have to worry about how many pieces there are, and where they attach together.

I've fallen in love with this fabric, I have a cowboy obsession.

and I'd really like to make a dress out of it, but I'm having trouble finding a pattern for the dress that's in my head.

Anything sort of like this dress

Whenever that happens to me I just want to scream and cry and blame everyone in the world EXCEPT ME for being careless with the bleach.

Your way, however, is totally more proactive, I'll try it next time my brand new shirt gets ruined (and you know it will)

It's really awesome, but how do you keep it from gradually loosening?

I think you should add a lining so you can't see the underside of the fabric.

I love plaid!

I love the skirt! I especially think the waistband is awesome, how did you do it exactly?

Really sweet, What's the stem? Did you just embroider it?
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / a little bit of pretty yarn on: April 14, 2005 05:27:00 PM
I was at the yarn store the other day (imagine that!) and shuffling through the sale bin I found a few skiens of some different yarns that were all very cute and pretty and I couldn't help buying them because they were that sweet.

I've been racking my brains, and I was wondering if anyone knew any small projects that would do my pretty yarn justice.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: sweater patches? on: April 14, 2005 04:40:53 PM
Would you just knit an oval patch and then sew it on? Or maybe it doesn't even have to be knitted...might look better if it was though...

Experiment time!
