1  Re: Doctor Who Swap - Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by mandustries on: June 14, 2010 05:32:24 PM
Great bookmarks!

I received from varifiresis today, and holy crow, did I ever get spoiled. (And I'm an only child, so you know me saying that is something, haha!)

Are you buckled in? This is gonna get picture heavy.  Grin

This is what I found when I first opened the box. Everything was wrapped so nicely in silver and gold! (Excuse the dog hair, that wasn't in the box. But it is all over my place.)

The first thing I opened was a sweet note. Then I dove in and opened:

A box from Adipose Industries!

The back:

Yes, that is a little clay Adipose baby.

And inside:

An adorable Adipose baby pin, two magnets and a pen topper (I think  Cheesy).

Next up was this pretty box:

Inside, I found:

An awesome little Tardis vignette, necklace and cell phone charm.

I kept opening. Next up was this Torchwood envelope.

Inside I found:

Materials to put together my very own Torchwood badge!

The next box had this little note inside the lid:

I giggled, of course, before opening the wrapped present inside:

My very own Ten nightlight!

I kept going and found:

A beautiful hand-painted box. The note on the box said it was most definitely larger on the inside, and it was!

The inside is painted with quotes and Bad Wolf.  Wink

In the box I found:

A Tardis tote, a shrinky DW villain chain bracelet (and Gallifreyan diamond!), a DW magnet, a "I want to be Gwen when I grow up" pin and a resin memento of the date of the swap.

Seriously, I'm not done yet. Need a little pause? I'll be here when you get back.  Smiley

Next up was this great shadowbox:

And a DW comic!

Finally, I got to the last inner package. Turn your lights on and hold on to your loved ones:

DON'T BLINK!  Shocked She is gorgeous!

Here's a last look at everything together:

THANK YOU SO MUCH, varifiresis! You really outdid yourself ... but I am not complaining! If you feel a squeeze, it's because I'm sending you a huge hug!  Cheesy

I'm glad you liked them!

I thought I'd post a couple of closer pictures, since people were asking. Smiley

The journals ... One each of the Cullen crest, the Volturi crest and the Wolf Pack symbol/tattoo:

The shirt (And so the lion fell in love with the lambin Edward's handwriting, the Twilight book font and Bella's handwritingit sparkles, too.):

And the pins, which go on the bag that's supposed to represent the meadow. Smiley They're based off Kurt Halsey illustrations (I didn't like the pins they had at Hot Topic, so I painted my own.):

Edward sparkles. Wink

There was also a keychain in there, which was my most New Moon-inspired item:

I received from monkeystuffer today, and everything is awesome. Cheesy I am mighty in awe of your sewing skills, particularly with the vinyl.

The outside of the box cracked me up:

Here's a group shot of everything:

Two handbags (one with a multitude of pockets and lined with a neat space fabric and the other shaped like the communicator/logo), a wrist cuff, a NCC-1701 keychain, a copy of the new movie's book, a little Klingon red flashlight, a "Make it So" Picard magnet and a sweet tin, which I opened to find:

Pictures of Sexy Picard/"Make it So" Picard and a necklace, which on one side has the Enterprise, and the other, a mini Sexy Picard!

I adore it all, and feel very lucky to have been spoiled so. Thank you monkeystuffer!

Some close ups:

The magnet.

The Sexy Picard side of the necklace.

The multitude of pockets and the fabulous lining fabric in the larger purse. (The communicator purse is lined as well.)

The cuff, un-velcroed.

It's down to the wire, but I've gotten everything done, (even with an x-acto knife mishap and three stitches!) so as soon as I take pics tonight, I'll package everything and ready it to go to the post office tomorrow after work. Cheesy

I hope you like everything, monkeystuffer!

You had to get stitches?!  Yikes, that must have been a bad cut.

Can't wait to get your package though, it's so exciting!  I spent the whole day today working on stuff for this swap - I added an item or two at the last minute, not really realizing how long they would take (not to mention the last-minute trip to NYC to play zombies this weekend...).. so I am not as close to being done as I would like to be on the last day of the swap!  I will probably be sending this package at 11:30 at night from the automatic post box tomorrow. Tongue   It's a good thing I am "job free" right now, so I can spend whole days crafting!

I've actually had worse ... but just never gone in to get it taken care of until it's healed part way. I'm not the biggest fan of doctors.

Here's a teaser for you! I'll be sending this afternoon, and will PM the DC to you once I'm home.

I could not be more excited to be able to post what Feast Your Eyes sent to me. I am giddy with the awesomeness of it all. Cheesy

The box got kind of mangled on the way here, but it was still cute. And had Twilight pics on the outside:

I opened it to find this great bag, with goodies inside:

FYE says it was Forks-inspired. The bag looks like it has shiny moons on it. Cheesy

I opened one of the little packages inside to find:

An adorable Alice-themed box.

Inside the box was:

A charm bracelet! GORGEOUS. And so detailed! It's got a little apple, a crystal heart, a wolf, a feather, a motorcycle, a green bead, a heart with the word "forever" on it, a fork, a truck, a red bead, a moon, a baseball (*swoon*), a piano, a black bead, a lion, a graduation cap and a topaz bead.

Also in the box was:

A Jasper and Alice necklace. By this time, the smile on my face was almost hurting. There's a little crystal ball, a gun and a heart on the necklace.

In another small package in the bag was:

An adorable Twilight Orphan t-shirt for my dog. This is Mollie modeling it. Cheesy She likes it quite a bit.

The final package in the bag contained:

The cutest tulip hairclip. FYE, did you draw/paint on the red?

All together, this is up there on my list of top swaps ever. FYE spoiled me rotten and did an amazing job of creating items I absolutely love. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Cheesy

One final pic of everything together:

I received from o0IrishEyes0o last night and I was literally floored.

Open the box to find:

An amazing Eclipse-themed bag. I'm pretty sure it's handmade. My boyfriend and I kept going round about it. "No really, I think she made it." "No way, it's too nice." Cheesy (AND! The lining is sparkly.)

Open the bag up to find:

A little Alice of my very own! She can be my fashion conscious. According to the letter enclosed with the package, Alice loved that she's my favorite, and threw a couple of adorable bird necklaces and a couple little bird notepads in for fun.

Keep opening:

Here's where I nearly fell out of my chair. o0IrishEyes0o learned to knit to make these Bella's mittens. I kid you not. And then two awesome t-shirts, one from Carlisle, which Alice customized (Forks High) and the other with two great words of advice (or wishful thinking) (Dazzle Me).

I really am completely astounded by the work that went into this package. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lisa-Marie! Cheesy
