31  2 rabbits and 1 orange monster in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Trish Fantastic on: July 28, 2008 06:43:34 PM
I am still really new to sewing. I don't know anyone that really knows how to sew so I have been slowly trying to teach myself. I am doing much better at sewing by hand than with my machine though. These three are my first stuffed creatures and am am pretty happy with them. Especially the bunny with the green eyes. I thought I would scream trying to teach myself how to do that whole sewing an invisible seam after I turn the thing right side out, but somehow I survived it. I hope you like them.

32  eyeball vessel in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by Trish Fantastic on: July 28, 2008 06:37:09 PM
This last semester I took my first ceramics course, which was a hand building class. I finished a lot of projects that I am really proud of, but my favorite and last piece I did is this vessel. It is completely hand built taking about 6 or 7 hours to build. The glazing on the other hand took closer to 30 hours. Having to paint all those little spaces a few times each almost drove me crazy... I am really happy with the result.

The project idea was to build a vessel based on a phobia, my phobia was "fear of being seen." It stands at just about a foot tall on the highest side.

I hope you like it.

and a picture of the inside.

33  Old School Zelda Shoes! in Shoes: Completed Projects by Trish Fantastic on: May 02, 2008 01:32:54 PM
I am so happy with these that I thought I would share them with you all. This is the second pair I have made like these to fill someones order, and I don't know how I have gotten this far along without making a pair for myself!

Side view, you should always have some hearts with you...

and the back, they are solid black around the tri-forces, the lighting is a little wierd.

34  Re: The Beginner's Top-Down Raglan (patt. incl.)[opt. July-Aug. theme: Cables!] in Knitalongs by Trish Fantastic on: July 06, 2007 05:08:06 PM
Well I'm making some progress, after lots of mistakes. It is almost too boring of a knit that I stop paying attention and end up with weird mishaps. Nonetheless I am very excited that it is starting to look like something!

I'm already coming up with lots of ideas for many more of these.

After following this thread for awhile I'm finally jumping in. This will be my first sweater, and I'm grateful to use up some Simply Soft since i have a ton of it lying around... but then, I have a ton of yarn in general that I don't have a plan for.

Here is what I have so far.

I just started knitting this, it is the one on the cover, and thought it would be more fun if some people want to do it with me.

I am using Sugar and Cream cotton yarn.

i just bought cheap white slip ons from target and painted them with regular acrylics. i havent sealed them yet because im trying to decide if Scotchguard will be enough protection or if i should try to find something better. hope you like them!
