21  EUROPE / SCANDINAVIAN/NORDIC / soysilk in sweden? on: May 11, 2008 11:33:34 PM
does anyone know where to buy soysilk in sweden? I looked at the SWTC homepage and found a Finnish retailer, and I suppose I could buy from there if only I understood the language Smiley

I would appreciate any help!

23  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 27 ENTRIES / muffler flower lamp on: May 02, 2008 12:00:39 AM
so... I found an old carpart (it might be a scilencer or muffler or maybe that's the same thing) in a ditch somewhere... and I really liked the shape... I had it lying around the flat for some time, and then I finally broke down and made a lamp out of it...

I would love some comments on how I can improve it... should I paint it? In what color?
24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / double buttoned stripey jacket on: April 30, 2008 01:57:53 AM
When I started to think about how I wanted my jacket to look, I was really inspired by old swedish folk costumes. Especially the mens jackets, which often are inspired by the military uniforms used at the time.
There are some pictures on this link that might explain better...

Anyway. The pattern is from Burda nr 10 - 2006. Slightly modified.

The buttons are homemade.

and there is lining...

thanks for looking!
25  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / strainer lamp on: April 17, 2008 07:17:19 AM
I made a lamp out of a strainer, an old book and some pearls. With great help from a circle punch. It gives a very warm and cozy light...

sorry for the gigantic pics Sad

26  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / green shirt on: April 17, 2008 07:08:10 AM
I bought a shirt that I really really liked and I wanted more... But its silly to buy a bunch of identical pieces of clothing (and expensive) so I copied the pattern and made my own... And I'm very happy with the result.

The sleeves are 3/4 length... I like that kind of sleeves Smiley

I made the buttons myself (cause I didn't wanna wait 'til the next day to be finished) out of an old plastic yofu-container. But I will probably change them when I find some better ones.

thanks for looking!

I've made a coat and it's the first sown item I've made that I actually love. I made the buttons too. With corrugated fiberboard and a plastic bag Smiley

and blomsterbna made the hat!
