1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / yellow jumper on: January 09, 2009 10:49:16 AM

This was a ridicilously fast knit. I bought the yarn this weekend, and I almost couldnt sleep the same night cause I was so anxious to start.

I planned to make a sort of Dogwood Donna, but I didnt have the pattern so I had to improvise. Also a flower wasnt really my style, so I made a wool winder instead Smiley

Anyway I knitted almost nonstop for three days with occasional walks in the forest.

And now its finished. Hurray!

The yarn is Lett-Lopi and the needles are 4,5mm

thanks for looking!
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / quilt from old working shirts on: November 24, 2008 01:33:33 PM
I started this quilt about three years ago, when i found a heap of old mended and torn working shirts, probably once worn by my grandfather.

The pieces are pretty randomly sewn together...

This weekend I decided to finish it. The edge is handsewn, and I'm going to add some more embroidery every now and then.

the back is freehand embroidered on machine.

thanks for looking!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / jeans with flap on: August 07, 2008 06:21:42 AM
after a lot of cursing and two days of sewing my flap(?) pants are finally done. My hands are all blue from the fabric, and I just noticed that my face has a blueish tone too Smiley

thanks for looking!
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / wallet on: August 05, 2008 12:35:27 PM
I made a wallet based on the fantastic tutorial for the slotted wallet. (and some inspiration from the other fantastic tutorials.)

the motif is embroidered. Can you see what it is? Smiley

thanks for looking!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / jeans to sweater... or something like it... on: August 05, 2008 08:05:13 AM
I made this quite a long time ago, but just recently got pictures of it. It's made (obviously) from a pair of old jeans and an old sweater.

thanks for looking!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / dressing gown on: July 31, 2008 10:23:36 AM
nothing fancy... but I made a dressing gown... and added some cross stitch imitations with a fabric marker...

and if anyone is interested in what the (non cross stitch) text says... there's a mythological story about a girl called Kraka who for some reason had to go to her lover neither dressed nor undressed, neither fed nor hungry, neither alone nor in company and so on... In the story she wears a fish net, but I figured if you are wearing a dressing gown you are neither dressed nor undressed so... the text is sort of a reference to Kraka in Swedish... difficult to translate...
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / yersey skirt with rug butt on: July 28, 2008 01:55:42 AM
It started out as a simple skirt, and then I just couldn't stop adding stuff.
first some bright green thingies in the front:

and then I just went crazy with the ruffles on the back. It looks like a rug... but it's soft for my butt... Smiley

thanks for looking!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / the patchwork t-skirt of motorsports on: July 25, 2008 02:49:55 AM
I don't really like either Kenny Brck or Harley-Davidson, but I got a bunch of clothes from a friend cause I talked to loudly about how you can re-con "just about anything". But everything turned out good in the end, cause I really like the skirt and it was very fun to make.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / dress from organic cotton on: July 22, 2008 01:01:39 PM
oh, man... I forgot to eat today. And this is what I blame:

It's made from organic cotton fabric, and it's a bit small on me (hence the very stomach-in-chest-out posing in the pictures) but I don't mind. Oh, and it's a bit wrinkly. Sorry.

close up on the pocket and one of the embroidered flies.

thanks for looking!
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / raincoat... perhaps... on: July 21, 2008 06:36:30 AM
I found a shower curtain on sale at IKEA. Since the swedish summer offers nothing but rain, I thought it would be a good idea to make a raincoat, and a shower curtain should be at least a little water resistant, shouldn't it?

So here it is:

I thought it would be nice to put a sash through the already existing holes at the bottom of the coat. but then I got second thoughts.... what do you think?

without the sash

and the buttons are homemade from bottlecaps and fabric....
