This is beautifully drawn and it definately has a ton of personality.
As the others already mentioned, it is so alive that you just want to reach out and pet it.

I feel awkward commenting again, but your work is awesome and The latest pictures are demanding a compliment. The last three bird photos are stunning. And the National Geographic advice is still there, the only problem now is that I have no idea which birdie picture you are to send them. They are all so great.
203  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: heads hanging with horns on: March 17, 2007 10:06:21 AM
I really like them. The horns are a great idea and I love the lonely mood in both of the paintings. Correct me if I misunderstood your work, but they just look so thoughtful and sad.
They look a bit like stencils. What technique did you use?

PS: whether or not it's you in your avatar, I love the rainbow hair.  Cheesy

Clearly you've got an eye for photography. These are great. I can't pick only one as my favourite.

I love "Resting in moms knee", his little bald head is so adorable. It's a very touching photograph.

"Midsummer girl" is wonderful, the colours are so pretty, and it's so unpretentious and genuine.

"Water in my ears" just rocks!!!  Grin

"I really do like to swing". Great idea with the kid coming out of the tire swing all serious looking. His expression is priceless. I love it.

"On the trainstation in storyland" is so wonderful. There's something detached about it, the way the boy is standing still in the middle of the dancing cartoon characters and the moving train. (I don't know how dark it really is, but I see it very dark and I think it looks better that way, because you don't make out that it's a train coming out of the corner, it looks like something moving but it's not distinctly stated.

All in all wonderful job. Your photos are awesome.

I have no criticism about this. It's stunning!!!
I think that even without the "problems" that you mentioned it would have still turned out just as great, because the mood and the composition are absolutely wonderful.

I really like all of these.
I just came home from the place I go to draw from life. We did 15 minute sketches of an old man. I could barely keep up. I still can't imagine how I would do a sketch in 5 minutes.

And the last three are so cool. I love the way you scribble in the clothes. The technique seems to give the clothing texture and air. It's very fresh.

Did the man in the last picture notice you while you were drawing him? He looks a bit upset  Angry
And on that subject, did you feel strange drawing unsuspecting passers-by? Did you feel paranoid that they would notice? I'm asking because I really have to start drawing sketches from the street as well.

These are wonderful. I agree with everyone above, the third picture is just WOW. But I love the second photo as well. You know what, they would look great in National Geographic magazine. They have a section where you can send in your photographs and if they really like it then they'll print it. I think that the third photograph is worthy of that spot in the magazine.
208  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Re: My prints on: March 13, 2007 08:48:48 AM
You did stunning work on "No Less a Woman". I am very happy to see that so many women are not taking the baby thing lightly. It has always amazed me how so many seem not to even give it a moment's thought, they say it's shameful not to give birth. Taking your destiny and life in your own hands and thinking about what you want, instead of letting others decide your moves is NOT shameful or sinnful.

I've had a painting in my head for 5 years now (I am still preparing for it, I always have a feeling I'm not ready for a painting on such a big scale) It is on the same subject matter. Intentional childlessness and the fright that many have about the subject of infertility.

Your print is wonderful and it is greatly appreciated.
209  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Re: gwen stefani pictures on: February 27, 2007 01:03:52 PM
I think  i_squared_u  is right, most of the clothes are by V. Westwood, but I'm pretty sure that the big dresses are by J. Galliano. I could only find these images on her official site. hope this helps. I think the shoes in the second photo and the more casual clothes she wears in the beggining of the video are by Westwood, not sure though. Please, correct me if I'm wrong. thanks.

the feather photograph is my fave. It's very beautiful. Is it lying on wire or something?
