1  Yoga Mat in Knitting: Completed Projects by sandraregina on: September 29, 2006 09:08:34 AM
I knitted a yoga mat and bag for my brother's girlfriend, for her birthday. I think she likes it. I just used acrylic (for washability & durability) double stranded, and garter stitch throughout. The two colours of purple made a nice alternating pattern. It ended up all soft and squishy. When I was knitting it everyone thought I was making a scarf. I wouldn't want to wear this around my neck.

2  WIP - Saxon Braid Cable in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by sandraregina on: August 03, 2006 11:09:30 AM
This is the saxon braid part of Samus from Knitty.com that I'm making for my Oma. Its going very, very slowly. In my defense, this is the very first cabling I've ever done, and I've had to frog it a lot. Wink

I've done this bit three times now and have started the fourth. I need 8 repeats in total, so I'm almost half way there (I'm being generous with 'almost').  So, what do you think? I'm using Paton's 100% Merino in Natural Mix, as said Oma wanted a neutral colour.

3  Some things I've knitted (Pics, lots of pics) in Knitting: Completed Projects by sandraregina on: June 29, 2006 09:58:01 AM
I'm addicted. Slow, but addicted. Here's some pics of completed works I've done (since January):

Bunny from a Square:

My Very First Sock Ever:

Cat Toys:
(the purple thing - I stuffed it with fresh catnip and couldn't get it away from them long enough to take a proper pic)

Winter Collar (my dad is modelling):

It was supposed to be a scarf, but it was too short, so I improvised. My dad loved it - it kept him warm working outside without a lot of bulk under his jacket or long scarf tails getting caught in stuff. Sorry for the poor photo quality - camera phone.

Well, there you go.

I knit the wonton for my mom's cat Caspar. When I have a free moment I'll be knitting the eggroll for my boys. Smiley
