Thought I would share this- here is a pop up card I made for the teatime swap.  It was fun to make and inspired by my Robert Sabuda pop up books!

I'm finally back... Home Improvement on our house pretty much grew and devoured my life.  2711 sent me great stuff and here are pics finally:

She sent me a terrific nifty Cyberman silkscreened bag, with a justforme David Tennant tag, a Tardis altoid tin with magnets (look at the inside it's like a diorama, how awesome), two white chocolate candies with lithophane/lithopane images of Dr Who (um I gobbled those right away.... couldn't resist), the box is a licensed Dr Who double ceramic egg cup with chocs in it (hmm i will have to eat those this Sunday on easter, haha) and oh so delicious jelly babies which are ALL GONE now, so sad!!!

And in the throes of everything I took only one pic of everything I sent her- I must give proper credit to AngryAngel, as she sent me copies of the Dr Who Pattern Book which I used as a basis for the K-9 and Tardis.  The book cover I made nice and big, it might possibly even fit the last Harry Potter book!  So glad you liked it all, 2711, I certainly enjoyed my wonderful (& delicious) package!

um, PS, the beer image might need to be spray varnished or something before you use it as it is a print out I found.  Thought you could use it for something.  Will email you the image if you would like if perhaps the ink has run....

Geh.  Ok, I'm finally back from the land of Home Improvement Has Devoured My Life... Scatter Kincaid was just wonderful to me.  I think my very favorite is the awesome record album journal!!!  She also sent a cool handmade totebag, silkscreened tshirt, and she forgot to mention that she also tucked in this great vintage flower origami book that I need to MAKE time to try out!  Hope my pics show justice to my wonderful Swap Angel, Scatter Kincaid!!!

Thank you so much, you really spoilt me incredibly.  Scatter Kincaid, I think you are just THE BEST!!  Thank you thankyouthankuthankYOU!

Ok, I'm back from almost oblivion... our bonus room is done and I have Photoshop again so I can post pics of what I sent & what I received in this swap.  Sorry pics are so late in coming!  Things were pretty darn crazy there for a while!  Sorry for the large size of pics.  I just want to get these posted and off my to-do list!

I also just got back from a short trip to Las Vegas for my DH's birthday, where I met up with fellow craftsters mirthfairy and lady llanella.  Yay for craftster!  I was there with 4 guys and no other girls so having fun with those 2 ladies was really a treat!  if you visit Vegas, they are mad fun to hang out with!

Ok.  So here is what germie sent me:
She sent: an interesting wooden purse, hand painted with Teatime on it, a green felt covered applique'd journal, a blue felt applique'd clutch, and a cute little  necklace and earring set with parts of a tiny little silver teaservice.

Here is what I sent:

a set of tea-themed magnets, a little black tea trinket/shadow box, one applique'd and embroidered tea towel (I Love Tea), green tea flavored mini bundt cake, purple teacup pincushion, a mini cross stitch kit, green tea candles, a teapot measuring tape, and a pop-up teapot card.

15  Owl Memo board and Owl garland in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by kitkabbit on: February 12, 2007 07:47:15 PM
This is what I just sent to Avian Flight, who organized the Owl Swap Round Three.  I was lucky enough to get her as a partner and I really enjoyed crafting for her.  I thought I'd share some of what I made her here.

This is an owl garland I made her, using some slide masks and a lot of glue stick.  I strung it on some cool yarn I had.  The other is an owl memo board I made her.  I hung it from cotton twill tape.  It's doublesided and very light, as it's all applied around foamcore.

16  Beauty & the Beast Jewelry Box in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by kitkabbit on: February 12, 2007 07:39:54 PM
This was for a recent fairy tale swap that I was in.  The illustrations are from Mercer Mayer's Beauty and the Beast picture book.  I printed out the pics on photo paper so I could get really brilliant detail and affixed them to the hexagonal box and spray varnished the entire thing.

17  Castle tin in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by kitkabbit on: February 12, 2007 07:35:20 PM
I figured this might go well in this category- this was part of a recent swap package I sent out for the fairy tale swap!

This is a tin that I spray painted and reverse stenciled.  i used rustoleum and enamel spray paints.  I had trouble with it, there is definitely a learning curve there!

18  Hanging Peter Pan mobile in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by kitkabbit on: February 12, 2007 07:32:04 PM
This was for the recent fairy tale swap- I made a long hanging peter pan mobile!  It was tricky to figure out how to balance it properly.. and I also had the added hazard of two curious kitties who were *very* interested in it.  I was afraid they'd eat it!

I used floral gauge wire- the 16 gauge you can get at the craft store.

19  Hmm what to call it? Altered Goose Girl Box? in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kitkabbit on: February 12, 2007 07:28:01 PM
Here is one of my first attempts at altered art- this was for the fairy tale swap.  It's an altered box that I based on the theme of the Goose Girl fairy tale.  The feather on the outside I cut and creased from cardstock and affixed to the front.  Enjoy!
