You are far too self-deprecating--this is awesome!! I love all of the details with the beads and sequins and stuff, and hand sewing requires much more patience and skill than machine sewing. You should be proud!
28  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: leaves, duct tape and paint on: April 20, 2009 03:45:32 PM
awesome projects!

At first I thought the crumpled paper 'stereotypes' was a claw tearing at your heart (its in the right place, anyway) and was really impressed but I like the wastebasket idea even better.

I'm also a huge fan of the duct tape dress: wow!!!
29  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: My nerdiest creation ever-- the Picard Pendant! on: March 28, 2009 01:10:08 PM
Looks just like him! I have to admit that when I was recovering from surgery and on painkillers, I did something very similar, but it was a drawing of Picard riding a dragon, lol! Something about those painkillers.....
30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / First metalworking project--Virgin of Guadalupe ring! on: March 19, 2009 01:50:59 PM
Hi all! I'm taking a jewelry class through our city art organization this spring (they offer affordable art classes to vermonters, yay!), and I just finished my first piece. It is inspired by a friend's tattoo and a ring another friend of mine made in high school many years ago. It is made of sterling silver and set with an acrylic cabochon with a picture of the Virgin of Guadalupe underneath. I love it so much!!! I am really excited to experiment more with jewelry making now....
