1  Foxy Baby Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by cursive_queen on: June 21, 2016 12:49:59 PM
I was trying to use stash as much as I could for this quilt.  Batting and backing had to be purchased.  The fox in the middle is from Elizabeth Hartman's fancy fox pattern

2  Scrappy graduation quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by cursive_queen on: May 20, 2016 12:29:02 PM
I had purchased a bunch of 5in squares in variously blues and greys from a person from Instagram and intended to eventually make a quilt for a friend... most likely christmas.  Well she was finishing up her degree and her BF decided to have a surprise party for her, so I decided a week out was a good time to try this, lol.  I also added some fabrics from my stash and ordered the backing

4  Mr Wiggles baby quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by cursive_queen on: April 11, 2016 12:32:32 PM
I'm a big fan of Tara McPherson's art and I saw that she was coming to town for a pop up show.  I also noticed that she was pregnant, so I thought I might be able to turn one of her designs into a quilt   I went with "Mr Wiggles" as it was a simple design.  I did not, however get a great photo of it before I gifted it.  One sort of crooked one my husband took as we walked to the gallery and one taked from Tara McPherson's Instagram.

I tried to do wiggly lines for quilting, on solid black.  I backed it with black dot minky.... and even on a small scale, I hate sewing minky, it always shifts.

5  Hedgehog Mini Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by cursive_queen on: April 11, 2016 12:25:39 PM
This is the larger version of Hazel the Hedgehog from Elizabeth Hartman.  I made if for a swap on Instagram.  My partner likes navy, so that's what I went with.  The pattern was pretty easy to follow and turned out very cute

6  3 baby quilts in Quilting: Completed Projects by cursive_queen on: February 29, 2016 12:45:57 PM
2 of my co-workers are pregnant and due in March, so I wanted to make each of them a baby quilt.  Even with colorcatchers, the red one bled all over the white one.  I got a lot of the color lifted off both, but there were still splotches that made it ungiftable.  There was a lot of crying and then I let my dog have it and he was thrilled as he loves blankets.

Back to the drawing board I made the blue/grey/yellow one.

7  Tshirt Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by cursive_queen on: February 10, 2016 06:30:28 AM
This is the second t-shirt quilt I've made.  While it went slightly better than the first one (Used minky for the backing - *Shutters*) I still don't think I'd make another one, it was a pain.

This is for my oldest stepdaughter out of shirts from High School and college that had been put in the donate pile over the years and I kept snagging them out.  I interfaced each one, then cut to size and sewed to a square of batting.  I think assembled the top, added another thin layer of batting and then flannel for the back.  The sewing is definitely wonky as there were spots my machine did not want to sew through.  However it is done, it's cuddly and most importantly, isn't taking up space in my craft area anymore.

Alright, I'm joining in again and am trying to remember to post more often this year.  My goal this year is to use some of my "precious" fabrics as I can't enjoy them in a bin in the other room.

Finished Projects
1.  Kindle case.  A friend commissioned a kindle case for her son.  The first one was a tiny bit too small so I had to make another one

2. Erin's T-shirt quilt
3-5. baby quilts
6. Hedgehog Mini
7. Mr Wiggles baby quilt
8. Nintendo Hour Basket

I feel like it's been forever since I've been on here!  I'm loving all the Halloween projects!  I feel like I have a bunch of stuff in progress and less finished things.

I finished a quilt for my sister in August, but I forgot to take a picture before I gifted it and she keeps forgetting to send me one.

I made a halloween mini quilt for a swap on IG

Everyone is doing such cool things!  I feel like I've hardly been on here all summer but I have gotten things done.

Mini Cotton + steel quilt for a swap

Quilt for my husband's nephew as a graduation present.  I hope he likes it.

Patchwork baby quilt for a co-worker (from stash yay!)

Knit socks - Rose City Rollers pattern on Ravelry.  my first top down sock.  I prefer the toe up method, but I really like these socks, so there will be more

Steampunk skirt for my stepdaughter.  I sewed the skirt and my SIL did the embroidery on her machine

Gym City shorts for myself.  They did not turn out as well as they did for the Kiddo.  I used one size up from her... yet they were way too big around and loose - I'm going to have to modify and try again (can't seem to find a photo)

Zipper Pouches

Skirt - I need to redo the waistband - its too loose
