1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Wool Jacket w/ BIG buttons on: October 14, 2006 03:39:41 PM
hi everyone
well after about three weeks i fanally got to come back to MY house.
i was so excited to start sewing again so i spent most of the day sewing stuff for myself instead of everyone else
i made this jacket out of some vintage fabric that i had and some big buttons that i had as well.
it only took about a couple hours to finish.
i like it alot.
what do you all think?

oh yeah most of the pictures are kinda distorted because i did a lot of cropping to cut out my tired and sleepy face (been under a lot of stress lately)
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / itchy vintage fabric??????? on: September 18, 2006 11:27:04 AM
i have a question about some vintage fabric that i have.
i did a search but i couldnt find anything.
it is a suiting material so i thought it would make a nice pair of pants.
but it is itchy to the point where if you tried it on, it would be ok, but once you left the house you would wish you didnt wear it.
since it was already cut when i bought it, i dont know the fiber content and i have no way of finding out.
but i was just wondering if there was any way i could treat it so that it would be less itchy.
if there isnt any way, then thats fine, but it doesnt hurt ask you guys!!
i could post a picture of ot but i dont know if that would help or not.
thanx in advance!!

i was wondering about french seams and stretch fabric
i know that it doesnt matter with the side seams

any help would be appreciated
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / SUMMER SHORTS W/ BUTTONS (NOW W/ TUTORIAL!!!!!!!) on: June 08, 2006 12:02:28 PM

i just made these earlier today.
this is the first time i made shorts and i didnt use a pattern,
but i think they turned out ok
any comments would be nice.

the buttons dont actually work,
they are just for decoration.
the shorts have a zipper in the front, and there are snap buttons sewn on the inside of the flap.
tell me what you think!
