Okay, here it is, over 12 square feet floor space covered in fiber from lapoli!

overview of everything:

These are the braided, hand painted rovings. So Many! So beautiful, it's so overwhelming, but I keep hugging them!

these are wonderfully soft rovings I will love spinning these:

olive green is the color of my eyes, so I wear alot of this color, so look at what lapoli sent me! It has a bit of glitz, which is incredible. so soft! Gorgeous color

A special batt, tied with an organza ribbon:

Then came the art batts, in the second pic I unrolled to show how artistic they are.
I can hang these in a frame they all so beautiful!

Still not finished Shocked A new fiber, bamboo! It is so shiny! I think it is even prettier & shinier than silk!

And then a total surprise, but two dinatopia books, ones I don't have! I started reading them, such a nice surprise!

Oh lapoli! What a great swap, I'm overwhelmed, and you did absolutely GREAT!!! I love it all and can't pick my fav! well maybe the bamboo? but truly the range of fiber and colors is too marvelous.

And now you say MORE is coming! You did great! I'm so happy you accepted the invitation to dance! I'm one spoiled spinner!

I have my package from oneredboot

Here are the crafted things:

These are machine washable socks and a cute summer cotton hat!

Action shots. Socks fit perfectly! I need that pattern so I can make myself more!

then my supplies:

The knitting pattern book is hard-bound with spiral inside, and features some cute pieces. Then mints in a tin, unopened so far I might add -- but not for long  Wink
And painted roving by lapoli. I love lapoli's rovings and art batts, she's the best!

Thank you, oneredboot!
I'll think of you every time I wear them!

crumpet, the sleeves of cotton t-shirts make wonderful loops for those looms.

crumpet, sorry this happened to you, glad hubby and you are so positive! Will be sending warm thoughts your way.

In addition, you can make your own loops from knit fabrics/old tees, etc. by making your own tubes --
1) cut the fabric the width of your loop
(if you have a 9" loom, cut 17" wide -- I estimate double the width of the loom, then minus one inch) and however long the shirt or fabric allows.

OH and don't forget, knit fabrics/tees stretch more in one direction than the other, so make test strips to figure out which direction's stretch you personally prefer.

2) BUTT the two sides together and zigzag loosely over the two sides. Say 8-10 stitches per inch or less. The idea is to join them enough to cut strips, but not enough to make a bulge.

3)Now cut 3/4 inch to 1inch wide strips from the tube to weave with.

You should have tons of loops this way!

Hey all!

Now that my swap IYP partners received, I can ask, would anyone want resin pendants with foreign stamps like these?

I have all kinds of themes, flowers, transportation, famous people, animals, cats, etc.

I'm so sorry I missed the grand opening of the photos you posted, lapoli! Our computer was out from Tuesday to now. I tried to get on craftster a couple of times with my laptop, but it wouldn't hold the connection long enough to see the pics!

Thanks for the great pics! Especially the pics wearing the shrug & shirt!

I'm so happy the shrug fit! Yay!!! You look great in it. I promise, I'll PM you the pattern so you can replicate it in as many colors as you'd like!

AsphaltQueen & lapoli, those were my first (If dreams had wings) & second (Hungarian stamp pendant) RESIN creations. I'm thrilled that you both loved them, and were great "test subjects" for my first attempts.

AQ -- yes, the top is handwoven, I weave one piece, then take two shuttles and weave the center slit, add the leno lace.  Where the ribbon is, you make two LAYERs to create the casing. (Yes, FOUR shuttles!) lapoli, the ribbon is sewn in, so you shouldn't lose it by accidently pulling it out. And you can adjust the amount of gathering in the shoulders. Then I weave the whole width again for the back.

My only problem is, it only looks great on "petite" people, and me and most of my friends are "women of size." (giggles)

Here is a photo of all the earrings. I thought the mustard/white ones might match the shrug, and the blue heart was a charm from LaughingLark and the STS swap. I themed the swap as "nature" so lots of leaves and birds, because that was the "theme" I saw in lapoli's wist.

I have been wanting an excuse to use these cute cardinals from emblibrary! So when lapoli said her kitchen was green and red -- woot! I can't tell you how much fun I had crafting for lapoli -- it was like everything I ever learned came together for this package!

Another fun part were the trees, in STS swap these trees were being used alot. so I thought I could make a new digitized appliqu design for it.

here are closeups of the towels:

cardinals in trees cardinals and leaves

And closeups of other things can be seen at my photobucket

lapoli, really it was joy to craft this all for you, I went at a pace that kept it all fun. I kept smiling saying how much it was going to make you happy!

And no anxiety -- you'll do fine. I love all the art batts and rovings I've ever seen you make!

Thanks for accepting my invite to swap!

Now you all can be prepared to swoon in jealousy over what AsphaltQueen sent to me! A crafty OVERLOAD, and stuffed to the point of bursting!

Again, clickable thumbnail pics:

Here is what the box looked like when I opened it:

Now I saw this blue box specially wrapped with a silver bow and inside, OMGoodness! A noisy bracelet from my wist:

So many little wonderful parts, birds, owls and so many pretty beads, I just LOVE it, AQ!!!

Next I saw this bag buried:

and ephemera and stickers:

As I dug through the yarn I discovered 3 white jewelry boxes -- so pretty on the outside and inside, be still my heart! Just the perfect colors to match my clothes, and the cabochon I wore and its just the right length. And a steampunk leaf! Of all your pieces, AQ I think this the best, just right for me.

Then I discovered a special, wonderful piece, brought back from Peru. I love the spindle and the yarn.:

This wasn't all, two large items on the bottom:

The book is so perfect, filled with ideas I can use in the Shop the Swaps!

Okay, I'm thinking there can't be more, can there? and then these wonderful packets are on the side and bottom. Two are holographic you tilt them and they change pictures, the Love says, "love me love me not" and the others you can see, and she sent 48 of them! Also two bundles of greeting card samples as ephemera:

The holographic ones are actually stickers for my card making! and the little ones are great for stacking on cards as swatches!

Now I use a navajo spindle for spinning and so AQ sent me rovings! YAY!!! And not just little ones, the pink/purple is about 30" long and the green is the size of a soccer ball! WooHoo! Thank you so much!

But you are all saying, "yarn, what about the yarn I see yarn in there." SO MUCH yarn, and so soooft! If you could feel it, you would never put it down! The mauve yarn is handspun in Peru and is for weaving ( I weave, too.) There are six skeins of 100% alpaca from Peru, and varigated mohair from italy, and so much of this and that of the finest types. I'll be knitting for a year! It is all so wonderful.

Here are pics from various angles:

It is just so overwhelming!

THANK YOU SO MUCH ASPHALTQUEEN  I just love * love* love it all!

oh there were some seriously great swap packages received! Pinkadinky you totally scored! Those cookie cutters are wonderful!

And goldfishpollywog, such cute fabric pads!

Okay, my first partner was AsphaltQueen, and she is working overtime and I offered to share my pictures of the package I sent.

AQ is the steampunk queen, (yes as well as asphalt queen, lol) and I offered to tat some pieces she could further decorate.

Clickable pics:

This is an overview of all the tatted pieces:

AQ requested 2 bracelets and 2 motifs, but I'm a spoiler, heehee!:

I wanted AQ to have plenty of lace pieces to use in her jewelry, so I made some bonus pieces:

Then in the Shop the Swap AQ said she loves things that say, "Pave it!," so I knew one more thing she'd just LOVE:

And this is my first resin jewelry piece, inspired by AQ's wist, titled, If dreams had wings. Hard to photograph, but it has rose paper, stamped with a partial clock & clock gears & parts on top. The legs are little latch hooks from a vintage sock knitting machine, and I had some little jewelry pieces, a purse, ruler, and scissors and they fit AQ's craftiness:

There was some extra ephemera for her ATCs but nothing serious.

AQ was so much fun to swap with.

And yesterday I received AQ's package, you can see the SUPER WONDERFUL package I received when I post it all!

Here is the great package I received from SewMamaLady  Tongue

I ordered a PVC niddy-noddy and she sent a bonus: cotton candy roving!

I spun it up and wound it on my new niddy-noddy:

here is the roving spun:

Thank you for the niddy-noddy SewMamaLady! I just love it and the bonus roving!
