1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Question about attaching a paper Banner together? on: February 03, 2011 02:09:14 PM
I don't do a whole lot of paper crafts but I am making a Happy Birthday banner for my daughter for her birthday, it is just circles out of paper attached to anther circle with the letters on them, then Mickey or Minnie on each end. I need a way to string them together that when I hang it up it will move a little so it will hand right. I though maybe with some paper brads or something but I am not sure, what do you all think? Any other suggestions?

3  Category Challenges / Image Reproduction Techniques: Challenge Entries / New Challenge? - New themes requested 6/12! on: May 06, 2010 12:05:05 PM
We will be running a brand new Image Reproduction Technique Challenge in the next few months! I'd love to know your challenge theme ideas!

Is anyone interested in having a Stenciling Challenge? We have not had one in a while due to the lack of interest there was.

If interest is back I will be more than happy to start up a new one.

No wax paper has wax in both sides and freezer paper only on one side. If you try to iron wax paper on your shirt it will stick to your iron and make a mess.

Not a silly question though.
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Re: How to edit photos? on: December 30, 2009 02:58:07 AM
Try using Gimp it is similar to photoshop but is a free download. You need to turn the image into a black and white image then using thresh holds you can eliminate the shades of grey. Let me know if this works for you. I believe we also have a tutorial for making an image into a stencil. Later on when I am on an actual computer I will get you a link.

I think it looks great. Did you use a stencil to draw the image on? Either way it looks great.

Welcome to Tennessee. What part of town are you in? I am in Murfreesboro and there is currently a knitting and crochet group that meets here, there is also one that meets in Antioch. I know there are several more just cannot think of them off the top of my head. Other than the ones at the LYS.
