11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet Market Bags on: April 01, 2009 08:43:00 PM
Just some bags I've made over the past couple weeks. Any way I can prevent the straps from stretching? Anything I can weave or crochet in?

12  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Colorful Crochet Cuff with Sequins on: March 08, 2009 06:01:59 PM
This might be my favorite item that I've made

It's super colorful and reminds me of a tropical garden: sari silk, bright green wool, some colorful buttons and multicolored sequins randomly sewn on.

13  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Spring Scarf! on: March 07, 2009 07:24:01 AM
I frogged a projects from years ago and made this scarf recently. And I wish i could remember were I got the yarn from, because it is some of the nicest wool i have worked with!

It's a split shell stitch with sequins sew on in the middle (and let me tell you, that took FOREVER)

14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Snowbunny Hat (and hand warmers) on: February 07, 2009 02:42:04 PM
I'm on a posting kick! This is another hat I came up with off the seat of my pants. I'll have to see if I can replicate it someday. The matching hand warmers are, however, knit. Oh noes!

15  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Scarfs for Everyone! on: February 07, 2009 02:34:34 PM
I make so many scarfs, it's ridiculous. I think I must have at least 15 of my own. Here are some recent ones I don't think I've posted here:

Super simple scarf made from recycled sari silk. I feel like more complicated stitches detract from the beauty of the yarn.

Seafoam/Wave stitch. I think this is my favorite stitch ever, especially for any variegated yarns.

Just a simple neck warmer. I wasn't sure how I wanted to fasten it, so I made toggles from 2 buttons held together by decorative knots.
16  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Recycled Sari Silk Hats & Tams (and scarf!) - lots of pictures on: February 01, 2009 08:06:36 AM
I haven't posted in years, but I'm going to start making an effort!

17  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / help on knitty's broad street mittens (or something similar) on: September 02, 2006 10:24:47 AM
okay. a couple of questions.

i have no idea what the actual measurements are for gloves. does anyone know? this pattern only gives women's large/men's medium, and im pretty sure my boyfriend would be a large. this is my first time making gloves AND using DPNs and is there a nice and easy way to modify the pattern for size? if not can anyone suggest a similar pattern? i figure it's going to be a pain in the ass for me to take this on considering my skill level so i'm starting early (they're for christmas!).

here's the pattern: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall02/PATTbroadstreet.html

okay, thanks!
18  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / freestyle scarf with beads on: September 01, 2006 10:12:42 AM
so. this is my first time posting something...it's a scarf i made a while ago but i'm just starting to get around to posting things. it's also the first freestyle crochet project that i really like. it's made from some wool from a local farm, as well as antique gold beads and faux pearls from a broken necklace.
